Always Sunny vs Workaholics

I've watched both shows a fair bit now and I keep hearing things like "Workaholics ripped Always Sunny off". Even the makers of Workaholics referred to the show as a somewhat ripoff =S.. I'm not really seeing it though, sure there's some similarities but that's typical.

So since people like to compare them to eachother so much, which of these two shows do you think is funnier?

I prefer Always Sunny but I'm a fan of both shows, also I've never heard the two compared before and never really made the connection until I just read this thread. I can definitely see some similarities, but the format is presented in a way where it doesn't seem like they took from it too much IMO. Either way both great shows.

I like Workaholics more, doesn't seem like a ripoff of Sunny to me

both hilarious shows, but ill have to say always sunny is my overall favorite. that being said workaholics is also howls.

hard to pick but i think workaholics is more consistent now but they havent been going near as long either

Always Sunny fell off...hard. I love the show and the characters but the first few seasons were the only standouts for me. Workaholics had a rough first season, but the latest episodes were pretty sweet. That show is hit and miss though

i cant vote in this poll. i like them both quite a bit.

i really dont see how theyre THAT similar though.

at most the similarities are a group of friends that go on hilarious adventures and everything goes back to normal the next episode.

I like both shows. Workaholics never seemed like a rip-off. They're very different shows to me.

I find Always Sunny a lot more solid and I like it better overall, but Workaholics is a good show too.

Ya i guess i could slightly see how the pace of the humor in workaholics can kinda seem like always sunny, but i feel they are definately two different concepts. Personally, i like always sunny better during the first few seasons, but I've been enjoying workaholics more than the newer seasons of always sunny. It sucks they kinda fell off, always sunny was one of the funniest shows

I like workaholics more.

It's simple comedy, always sunny in Philadelphia is also cool but sense of humor is too extreme.

They are two of the only five shows i have ever sat down and watched, so they are both equally good, always sunny does get more creative though

two of my favorite shows, workaholics can be very fucking funny but I think I'll go with it's always sunny, it's been out a lot longer and I've always been a fan.

Always sunny>workaholics

They're both hilarious in their own way, I guess they're kind of similar in the way that all the humor basically comes from all the group dynamics/interactions, but they're still different enough that I wouldn't say either is a rip off of anything. If I had to pick one it would be Workaholics though, it's always sunny has seems to have past it's prime lately, but maybe it will get better later. Shows are like that, not everything is going to be comedy gold, you just got to stick it out sometime to get to the good stuff.

I love me some Always Sunny. "The Gang Gets Whacked, pt. 1&2" are my favorite episodes.

Always Sunny is my favorite. I can see how the comedy is similar but I haven't noticed any direct ripoffs. Sunny just has a very complete cast for their circle, I feel workaholics is missing something although still very funny.
