New Smokers Smoking Schedule

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by greenties, May 5, 2012.

  1. Hi guys,

I am here to make a suggestion for the people new to smoking. Firstly, a little information about myself. I would consider myself a heavy smoker. Wake and bake would be my daily routine, and I rarely took breaks from it. However, I was not in this pattern of use right from the beginning. I started off like most, smoking a few days a week, but over the course of maybe 3 or 4 years that level increased until I got where I am today.

I am posting this to suggest a schedule for the new tokers to try and stick to. Many of you may, or may not, have heard that weed is the best thing in the world. Possibly that there are no negatives to smoking. This is false. if you check my other thread you will see that some people consider themselves addicted, others dependant, while some suggest that they can smoke daily and quit whenever they want, although they WILL generally experience some withdrawal symptoms. This kind of experience, in my unqualified opinion, happen after a long period of constant smoking. And so, the idea is to save new users from experiencing the difficulties that are associated with regular... I would like to say use, but abuse may be more fitting.

I suggest that you keep track of what you smoke, ie, how often. (dont write it down or anything. I dont want anyone getting busted because they have a detailed log of what and when they smoked). Try and limit yourself to a max of 3 days per week, and only one of these days being a wake and bake.

This suggestion is not set in stone, and others are welcome to suggest their own general guidelines. I would ask, however, that you state your smoking experience along with your suggestion, so that others can get a feel of where you are coming from.

In my own experience, weed loses its specialness with regular daily use. You still love it, but it is not the same. I think that you smoke daily, partly, to tide off withdrawal symptoms, and because it is a pattern of use that you become accustomed to. Regular users will say that they just really love it, but you need to be objective about this. Does the love stem from actual love of it, or the hate of the negative symptoms when you don't have it? For me, regular daily use is not true appreciation of the herb. It becomes routine and mundane. My advise, stick to a less intrusive routine and get all the positives with as few of the negatives as possible.

    Take it easy, guys.

  2. Everything is better in moderation. I never could understand those people who can't function without being high. Sounds too much like a hard drug addict (which i've seen way too much in my family)

  3. Everyone is different man. Just smoke when you want.

  4. People slip into different patterns of use. It's not really something that you decide to do. Sorry to hear about your family. At least it serves to keep you knowledgeable.

  5. Everyone has a right to an opinion. Mine is that you've missed the point.

  6. I just treat weed as I treat sugar, salt and all that shit
    Moderation is the thing
