I busted my plants having sex tonight!!!!!!

Well after changing my watering schedule and technique ( I know water from the bottom as I have a "wick" set up in coco coir. Anyway, while I'm on my hands and knees buried in buds, I notice a seed, hmmmm I thinks to myself, I have that male Big Bud #2 a couple hundred metres away in a little shed down the back and I think, "that little fuck got his pollen all the way into my flower room (no easy task!!!), so I keep watering, thinking, I might as well chop it all down now before the seeds wreck the buds, and THEN I FOUND IT!!!!!! The other Big Bud #2 (not yet publicly released) has one or 2 pollen balls that have burst,"fuck!!!" I think to myself, then I realize, I HAVE SOMETHING NOBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD HAS!!!!! Now I have JACK HERER X BIG BUD #2, WHITE RHINO X BB#2, GREAT WHITE SHARK X BB#2, SKUNK X BB#2, CHEESE X BB#2, NLXBB X BB#2 (INTERESTING!!) AND LEMON SKUNK X BB#2!!!!! YEAH HA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST THING IS, THEY ARE NOT FULL OF SEEDS, JUST A FEW HERE AND THERE!!!!
PS, I am on day 40 of Flower and some strains finish in 45-55

Those all sound like good combos and could probaly be very useful down the line. What exactly is the difference between big bud and big bud#2

It came from Herbies seed company as free seeds. They told me it to look up Big Bud from seedman. Don't really know, but the buds are fucking huge!!!! As thick as my wrist after only 21 days of veg.

If that 'other' plant was a female... you just made yourself a bunch of seeds, prone to hermying, just like the parent.

(Keep in mind feminized seeds can potentially be made by a FORCED hermy.. not by one that goes over naturally, without any effort.)


Otherwise.. why'd you have a male in your ladies room, if you didn't want seeds??

The hermy had 2 pollen sacks over the entire plant. I'm aware of breeding and know what makes what. Either way, I was going to breed these strains anyway, I'm pretty happy.

The hermy trait grows stronger, especially after the first few accidental pollinations.


That's how natural selection works, that's how breeding works. You're encouraging, a negative trait.

In other words, you're only going to get more male pollen sacks from future females, more seeds from future plants, and you have virtually no chance for seedless bud from any of the resulting offspring.


That's why they are explicitly useless and avoided for ALL breeding purposes.

I think he's saying the seeds are worthless. Not the plants themselves. I couldn't tell if you were being prideful, sarcastic, or truly unknowing of the process of natural selection. When I found a hermie it was a few male flowers here and there so I tossed it in the compost. I dealt with seeded bud my first grow and learned from my mistakes.
