I was having the same issue...according to AdBlock Plus, it's some sort of script...blocked it, and all is fine now...

I've had a few of those as well, but I'm pretty sure my problem is with TOR...been having these issues every now and again since I re-installed it last week...I just change location and all works again...

I know...my rant probably has absolutely nothing to do with what you're talking about...:P

I'm having the same issue - page won't finish loading this: http://www.adviewapi.com/api/api.php

as a result, I have to manually stop loading each time. Anything I can do to stop it doing this? There's clearly an issue with this ad view site.

I couldn't load the site for a few days. I finally got it to load typing www.grasscity.com instead of grasscity.com and it worked. Every other site works just fine without typing www.

Thanks for this suggestion! Blocked it through AdBlock on Chrome and all is working fine again!

I use Google Chrome for browser. adviewapi causing my pages to not load, or take about 4 minutes to completely load.
I blocked it in my hosts file. Problem solved.
You can also disable the viglinks. Just go to their site :)

I can't understand all the data collection all of a sudden. Kinda getting a really massive 'Big Brother' feel from GC, which is sad. I like it here, but the place is changing for the worse, IMO.

... and I'm adding adblock. Thanks!!

Ghostery blocks viglink as well as other trackers...

I changed the hosts file and blocked with adblock - still shows adviewapi trying but not being loaded sometimes.

IDK. Changing my hosts was all I had to do to block that one. I did that before adding AdBlockPlus and Ghostery.

Did you restart?

I did.

Sometimes pages load just fine, other times, they don't. It's always adviewapi that shows up in activity, but it's not always the same page that has it.

Shouldn't have to do all this shit. Just want to post some thoughts on a forum.

I added 127.0.0.1 adviewapi.com to my hosts file - how did you write it?

Yes, whatever this adviewapi bullshit is, get rid of it GC. It was incredibly annoying and is now blocked.

Loading times are slow for me as well. Others can't "like", some can't upload pics. It takes too long to sign out.

Also the who quoted you, who likes this and who doesn't? Put me on the don't like it list.

@ Rummy, Please do it for me just this once, I will never have to change it again I promise!

I assumed you sent me a PM so I went through the last 4 pages of PM's and found one from you that I replied to just now. ;)

I am having issues with lag and connection to server resets. I also don't like the Quote box on my User CP page. :P

We had no clue what that script was doing there, we have disabled it now, please let us know if you have any issues with slow loading still.

Thanks SJ...:)

I think this is what's causing the "like" problems as well, so hopefully it's killing two birds...
