For now.

Until my generation (college age people) grow up and come into governmental positions, I highly doubt that anything will change.

HOWEVER, this will not take long...

I find it interesting that under our own laws, our current president is no more of a criminal than myself, or any other marijuana users.

Just my two cents.

There are members here that were around in the 1960's.
Guess what they were saying back then? ;)

Until money, power, corruption and greed are removed from politics, prohibition will continue.
This is contrary to human nature, however, so it's a tough battle.

Fuck it, let them take our rights, it doesnt matter. Once upon a time you had to grow hemp to be an American Citizen, soon after the paper industry exploded and homp because the enemy for nothing more than money

So we all are criminals because some greedy fucks like cutting down tree's vs hemp

Yea, ok, it doesnt matter we are scrutinized over something like that

Untill you go to jail.

The only reason you would go to jail is if you were being irresponsible with it, you would sstill get in trouble in the same ways, the only way people can really get in trouble is if you are doing it while driving, which would likely be illegal anyways, even if cannabis was made legal.
Yanno?
Its not like cops are really just going to come busting down you're door just because you like to buy buds every now and again.
Legalization would barely make a difference.
And as of right now, i can get bud delivered to my mo-fuckin door!
Now thats service!

Uh, getting a DUI or DWAI from cannabis doesnt even come close to getting busted for cultivation, even if its for personal use and you are 100% responsible....

Which is why i don't grow >.>.
I know somebody has to, and for them, the illegality of it sucks, and i feel that. but for most, it wont make a difference.

And wouldnt growers be out of a job, if it became legal?
Unless they became certified, or whatever.

Im all for legalization, and wish for it more than anything, though it doesnt make too too much of a difference for me, you know?
Yea yea, im ignorant or whatever, but its cool, im happy. :)

Lol... the CO legalization bill says you can grow your own, if i can grow better weed than a grower im buying from, i dont care if they go out of business... just like if i could grow a garden right now, i wouldnt support farms and shit lol

Point is, when its illegal, like 5 people risk their shit, minimum before the average stoner even buys their sack, and all they risk is possession generally.... its a fucking ridiculously flopped world.

The whole "the growers will go out of business" argument just makes me angry, they already sell extremely over priced bud, its value is a fraction of normal street prices... hell, i can go get shit for 5 a gram thats really good and the dispensary still makes a profit....

IF people think the govt will grow all the bud and take over the market, they are just wrong.... does the govt make all the alcohol? Fuck no they dont lol..... they would look like idiots going from "NO WEED FOR YOU" to "we are now the worlds largest supplier of cannabis"

Just because you want to give up doesn't mean that ANYONE else has to. Think about it.

Exactly, this about back in the fucking day.... Civil War status, i bet there were many slaves who said "fuck it, this wont be illegal anytime soon so what the hell can i do about it"

It was abolished eventually lol

bad analogy, i know

You're in Florida - I guess that explains that. If you were in the action, you might have a different tude.

The disturbing part about your post was the "doesn't really matter" - wtf is wrong with you? Do you want your friends and family harassed or put in jail? You go think about that tough guy.

So it doesn't matter if it stays illegal...
Oh, except for the people who provide it....

The providers are kind of important..

The point is that even if you are careful and don't get caught, there shouldn't be a need for that paranoia in the first place.

I'm not giving anything up. I've been smoking for over 40 years, and imo when it becomes "legal" the huge system of incarceration that we now have will not stop, it will be focused on treatment of marijuana users in order to sustain the system. My point in my first post was, forget about it, keep doing what you are doing. Acceptance will come, so many people are smokers now that the laws will just tend to be disregarded...but if you want to keep fighting Big Pharma, the various police agencies, and on and on, go for it....good luck.
