Anyone hear of maverick bongs?

  1. Supposedly they are made in california. I plan on buying this piece but I was wondering if anyone has heard of them and are they any good? I've seen another toro that looks similar to this.

  2. The second showerhead in the tube looks pretty flimsy.

  3. I am unfamiliar with this brand as well, but just from inspecting the photo I would be weary.

The logo looks like it'll come off in a few weeks and all the glass seems oddly crooked, thin and brittle. As Teed Woker put it, the worst has got to be the showerhead in the tube. It looks like it's likely to just break off if you try to clean it.

I wouldn't buy it unless the price is right.

  4. This piece looks very thin and nothing seems right, I'd stray away unless you can get it for a bill.

  5. Looks like a zob rip off.

  6. Ive been seeing tons on Craigslist. IMO It does look like really thin glass ive seen a few with some crooked showerheads

  7. First off, we got this recently and really like it. glass is thick, measured the lip and it is about 1.5mm, glass is at least .75mm. Everything looks straight, gaping between glass and the shower head is even on both ends. Over all, great grad gift to oneself. Ash catcher is a pulse. Got everything from a local smoke shop.

The pictures are after a few bowls.

  8. I hope you mean 1.5cm and 0.75cm because .75mm is 15x thinner than most bong glass.

  9. Haha yeah I hope so, my bong is 5mm measured and feels thicker. I'd be afraid to have any piece with 1.5mm glass.

  10. Lol, yeah. I seen what he said, and was like, whoa, that's hella thin. Wondering if he got mixed up or something.

    Never heard of the company.

  11. Yea, sorry, I measured it wrong :)

But none the less, its a California made bong, has a stamp declaring so.

  12. Not saying anything about this brand but in some cases, made in usa for bongs may as well mean made in china. There are some brands in the us where the bongs are shipped in parts from china and then put together by people here in the us in a factory. Look up C2 Custom Creations, my friend has one of their bongs and it is legit poop. But they actually make some nice non manufactured poop pieces. Im fairly sure they are just assembled in the US, as i lve seen them on China wholesale websites for dirt cheap. They say they are made in california. I doubt this is the case for this brand, they look a lot nicer but have a crappy logo haha. Id use something to get the logo off to be honest.

Speaking legally, The FTA Wouldnt allow it. In order for it to be "Made in USA" 70% Of the Materials used to produced HAVE to be produced in the USA and it would have to finalized(As in Assembled) In the USA. Im not trying to be a dick id rather educate MY people than to watch them be uninformed.

Id looks like a label you'll put on some Bananas

  14. I love how people will jump on any oprotonity to hate, even if they don't know anything about anything... I know the people behind maverick from going to maverick smoke shop in Westwood la (ucla) , they started the company less then a year ago trying to make high end glass. Now first of all this guys are super nice and will hook u up whenever they can if you visit the shop also their studio is based in van nuys (California ), I know that even though they've only been around for a years there's already fakes of their brand (somewhere in NorCal ) which is unfortunate but I guess part of the business ... The top pic looks like a fake I guess it doesn't have the label "made in Cali" on the bottom and the front sticker doesn't look red enough.. The bottom piece( black) looks better... I'm no pro so I'm not gona judg any of the other reviewers I'm sure they know a lot. Anyway based on what I do know out of experience ( I own a maverick double bubbler ) it's a great brand and I only herd good stuff so far so I'm saying go and get yourself maverick (definitely check it) and enjoy it ! And stop HATING;) much love you'll keep it UP!

  15. Dude what are you talking about, I have a Custom Creations Showerhead Bubbler I got for 150 and I would put it against any higher end brand showerhead vs price. It is a 5mm glass and its heavy. Ive hit it many times and its solid. C2 is a good company, just dont ecpect a tube with 3 mushroom percs to not be draggy. They are just cheaper, like maverick, which I just happen to see in my lhs for the first time today and they looked pretty damn nice, and thick. They have a lot of rip offs tho, like of toros haha

  16. What am I talking about? I'm not saying they're bad at all I'm sure they're very nice, but I've heard that they're a company who has parts imported into the US and then put together by their blowers in the USA. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not. Enjoy your piece dude!:hello: I've actually considered buying one of their triple showerheads, and I may, so trust me I'm not hating brother!

  17. I was at my local HS and when the guy was showing it to me the the perc fell off. I dunno if it was bad shipping or what but i wouldn't buy this brand after seeing that.

  18. lmao thats funny haha, but a lot of time head shops get broken items. Just ask a owner, they always get broken items or the wrong items.

  19. /\/\ HAHAHAHA. fuck my rolecks is running slow again
