I found a spot in the middle of nowhere, not hard to reach from here(10-15 minutes jogging)where there is a tree in the middle of some rotten fields. They haven't been cultivated for ages, but if I planted seeds in the field it would be visible. But the spot was awesome so I thought; The tree! It is a well-grown 2.5-3 metres tree. So what? Well, I think about climbing it near top, and place a tub with soil in it. Tape the tub to many of the tree's branches and plant some MJ seeds on the tub. I'll use some light watering over-time(upside down 2 littres bottle, pinned once near the bottom, full with water, dug in the soil). So what could go wrong? There will be leaves from the real tree sourrounding it, and even if someone notices the leaves of MJ, he will really doubt it's a tree. So what do you think?

I got 4 plants stolen last year and I don't wanna lose more this one.

I would not use tape if i were you. Why not nail some small boards for better support.

Sounds like a pretty good idea to me, never thought of this before but I may have to try It out sometime, only thing I could see being a problem is light getting to the plant but you could just trim a few branches and take some leaves off to let the light get through better. But yeah go for it and post back and tell us how it goes, wouldn't mind seeing pics haha, good luck man!

Not posting pics sorry, but yes I can tell you how it goes. I'm feminizing the seeds now(banana peels trick).

yes pics please, i seen over a dozen people try tree grows but have yet to see success besides small autos that are easily hid on the ground.
i think growing like this would never be a success it will always be more trouble than reward.
it's is rather simple to hide a few plants buddy and when you don't tell anyone they usually don't get stolen. the only crop i ever lost was becouse i had to show someone.

You will have to do a lot of watering but it will work. Try camouflaging the container one way or another.

three feet of the ground is perfect sight lvl. why not save time, energy and have a better environment and harvest and just put them in the ground.
throughout the years at least 5 times a year i see someone with the great tree idea always thinking they came up with it. never have i seen success. sure i have seen buds grown but nothing i would brag about.
to much trouble not enough light and i bet they are more noticable than they would be if just put in the ground.
good luck

I am kind of doing something similar. I built a tree stand for deer hunting near a freshly cut trail (was logged for cedars and has not been used in over a year now) and plan on putting a 5 gallon bucket in it. Made for a shit hunting spot because deer were afraid of the clearing. I wouldn't make it your only grow spot though. My tree is a back up site. I am putting together a wire fence for my ground grow as my main site. Tree site is just my fail safe if something happens to my main crop.

Its in a swamp so you cant see them i have to walk thru mud an some water
i do have about 40 plants in ground to in a spot with thorns. this is just something im playing around with never mest with a swamp before.
oh the trees have very little leaves and are about 9 to 10 feet high and 14 to
18 inchs wide almost full sun all day. but your right it seems like every grow book
talks about a grower puting a plant all the way up in a full size tree and having
a feeder hose and all kinds of crap someone can see soon as they walk by.:smoke:

Wow! I was thinking this exact same thing while I was in a graveyard the other day! Nobody ever looks up so it should be perfect for stealth... at least I dont see why not? Maybe you might have trouble with getting enough sunlight but other than that, I'd like to hear about how it turns out!
