"Phoenix Tears" uses

  1. Well the FIL had a more thorough CT Scan (he was getting pain in the area of his tumor) and the tumor in his neck is a sack of necrotic tissue that just needs to be processed by his body (toxins being the cause of the pain). He has a thickening of his esophagus as well, not a tumor but it is cancer. This has not appeared to have shrunk but he did go from not being able to swallow whole food to being able to once again. I assume it may not be inflamed anymore or has regained some plasticity, not sure. Either way he is well on his way, has an increased quality of life, and plenty of hope that he will fully recover.

    Go weed!!!

  2. That's good news, AgMan! Quality of life is really the important thing. The fact that he can now eat whole food can only help and providing hope is priceless. I have a close friend getting ready to have a tumor removed from his kidney and he doesn't want to do chemo. I'm trying to convince him to let me help with some thc therapy. He has Chrohn's disease, too, so I have to work around that. He's not a big pot user so it's taking some persuasion and he's afraid of losing his narcotic prescriptions. If he agrees, I may ask for your formula. :)

  3. My dad is on a contract for narcos and he finally got the balls to ask if it would be a problem if he got medical mj. They said it would not affect his contact but they would not perscribe it for him. I live in OR, not sure about stricter states...

  4. We're in Arizona and they're still fighting it although it's legal. A lot of pain clinics won't take mmj patients so it can take a lot of searching. When my previous doctor retired, I had a hell of a time finding another. Fortunately, now that the courts here have ruled mmj constitutional, there's more acceptance from the clinics. We'll see how it goes after his surgery.

  5. Well, as I always thought I would eventually do, I've resurrected this thread for personal reasons. I know a lot more now about the healing properties of cannabis and also know a lot more about how to use them to greater advantage. A lot of this more intense learning period came about while AgMan was discussing his FIL's experiences as they were going along and AgMan's THC therapy for him. Unfortunately, we haven't had an update in a while so I'm hoping all is still going well.

Over the next few months, hopefully years, I'm going to start documenting my own battle with similar demons. Preliminary consensus is that I may have 2-3 forms of, for me, incurable (medically) cancer. Nothing I haven't been expecting, but daunting nevertheless when reality sets in. Because I have a kidney transplant, I'm unable to receive chemo or radiation so if it can't be cut out, it's all over and cutting is not my favorite thing.

While the diagnosis won't be official until the specialists do their thing, I figured I'd dust this off and get it back to where it can be found easier. My first goal is to find a pound of decent bud for free if possible since I don't have the funds for an ounce even, so that will probably be a while. Once that happens, all the diagnoses should be in and I'll know what I'm dealing with and can then start detailing my treatment plan.

I'm going to link my plan to my main Dragon tincture thread. I'm going to use a multi-faceted approach to my treatment from a "Phoenix Tears" type product to a concentrated oil mixture using multiple types of oil similar to AgMan's formula as documented earlier in this thread. Also, I'll be supplementing those items with edibles and Dragon tinctures and try to get a well rounded effect.

In all the time I've spent researching this stuff I've found story after story after story of people being cured but I have never found a first hand account from a stoner about their personal battle and treatment. It's always a relative or friend who were NOT stoners for 40+ years or seldom used cannabis in their earlier lives. Well that's about to change. Anyone familiar with my other threads know that I like to talk about the wonders of Pot and I talk and talk and talk.....and this will be similar, except that I now have a deteriorating spine that is making that harder and harder to do. I need more surgery but can't get it until the "C" thing is cleared up. That may be awhile since that's in my throat.

Anyway, that will do it for now. Just getting the crowd warmed up for the main event.  But, please, don't cry for me, Argentina. [IMG]

  6. Sam,

Sorry to hear.  I will have you in mind in my elevated position in the world.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery!!

  7.
Thanks, smf. It's not all verified yet but pretty likely for at least some of it and I can't get that spinal surgery until I get at least some of this in retreat so everything is going to revolve around it for a while. I've been expecting something like this and it's the reason that I got so heavily into the crash course on tinctures and edibles and oils. Now I get to put it to use.  ;)

But on a good note, since I wrote the other post I have landed a cannabis sponsor for my treatment, at least to get it started and that has taken the biggest uncertainty out of the equation. I should be able to start treatment in about 3 weeks.  B)

  8. Sorry to hear about your new condition, but also glad to hear of your sponsor!

I wish you a speedy recovery.

Thanks, JoJo. I'm a tough ol' goat so there'll be no leading me off the the Soylent Green vats. In a perverted way I'm sort of looking forward to the challenge because I'll get to use all the stuff I've been learning and practicing on other people on myself. I have a whole varied treatment plan already outlined using a routine that I have developed that will be quite a bit more well rounded than the "tears" type oil and BKS' concentrated coconut oil caps. I'll use similar products but based on my own Freezer Dragon and solvent transfer techniques that I've honed and, of course, you're very familiar with those.  ;)

I want to use the full bodied hash oil, tears, as well as the concentrated coconut oil caps. The caps I've already concentrated into 90 caps for an ounce of bud including lecithin in an "0" cap. That's 310mgs and it's for a patient with spinal lesions and a nerve disease, and she takes 5 a day. The next batch will be 500mg each. They're working. And I have another one with brain tumors, not cancer, that I've been trying to create a plan for until my source dried up. So I'm already geared up and I've never read about a combined therapy, usually one or the other. And I have not read anything that lets me know that these extreme treatments will allow me to still enjoy cannabis recreationally. I've never seen anything from an old stoner, personal story, or anyone else that addresses those issues. I don't want it to become a medication like chemo, so I want to utilize my tinctures and edibles in the total daily count. I've read that for reduction of lesions and tumors, about 2g of ingested THC daily for 3 months is needed but more is better. It will be interesting, that's for sure. If you hear of any first person accounts of the cure from long term stoners, please let me know.

As for the source, it's an old standby and provided much of the material for the guides in my other threads. It will be quality buds.  [IMG]

  10. Sam
This news saddens me. This is the last I will say about my emotions concerning your up comming battle.
Just know I will be there for you every step of the way.
You are going to kick this in the ass and be stronger for it.
    Thanks for all you do.
    Talk to you soon

  11. Even though I don't have much in the line of resources currently, I have started treatment already with what I do have on hand. I have some enhanced coconut oil that i had processed for edibles but now I've capped the 2oz I had and have been taking 5 a couple of hours before bed. They're not that strong for caps but 4 or 5 really makes me sleep well with little or no pain and I feel good the next day. I use "0" caps so they aren't that big and 5 is about 3ml. I have a few ounces of Dragon left and next week I'm going to concentrate it down into 4x strength caps. Next week, also, I've been told that I'll receive the first ounce of bud to use for this treatment and I'm really looking forward to it although it's going to be tough to make all those pretty buds into coconut oil. Oh, well.  :)

  13. Initial Therapy

I still don't know if I have cancer anywhere, still waiting on results, but I do know that I need to get a little deeper into a regimen. I went to a dermatologist the other day and had 4 lesions cut off and 70+ more pre-cancerous stuff frozen. My hands, arms, scalp and back look like I have the measles or chicken pox or like someone has been torturing me with the lit end of a cigarette, so just that lets me know that I need to do something no matter what the tests eventually say, at least for the skin stuff.

I thought that I had more Dragon extraction than I actually did so I wasn't going to be able to make it as concentrated as i planned.

I started with 2 fl oz of Dragon extraction, coconut oil, MCT oil and "0" capsules.

    InitialTherapy1.jpg

I could have just added the 1 ounce of oil to the 2 ounces of Dragon but instead I reduced the alcohol to 1oz. I don't know why but I like to get my Dragon to the final concentration before adding my transfer medium. Using an alcohol extraction to infuse another medium like oil/butter/honey is called a solvent transfer and that is what we are doing here. InitialTherapy3.jpg

I'm using a mixed oil for this comprised of extra virgin coconut oil and MCT (medium chain triglycerides) oil, about a 2:1 ratio, in this case 4 tsp of coconut and 2 tsp of MCT.   InitialTherapy2.jpg

After I reduced the Dragon by half, I added the oil to the bowl of the double boiler set up and evaporated off the remainder of the alcohol, leaving the thc infused into the oil.  InitialTherapy4.jpg

From the one ounce of oil I was able to make 40 capsules that are twice the strength of the ones I just ran out of. Because this batch of Dragon was made from leftovers, I don't know for sure how strong they are but I estimate 150mg and I will take 3 at bedtime everyday. This is just to start getting my system primed for the more concentrated doses later

I have received the first ounce of buds from my sponsor so this week I'll be documenting my whole process for the concentrated oil caps, beginning with breaking up an ounce of beautiful buds. On this next process I'm going to shoot for a dosage of 250mg and two would be a half gram equivalent. I'll be eventually working that up to about a gram per cap if it does turn out I have something real serious. I plan on documenting how to dose your caps to the desired potency and how to calculate it. In addition I'll be making some RSO, Phoenix Tears, hash oil or whatever else you want to call it and will be using it as a topical for my skin cancers and will, again, show my process for doing it with ethanol instead of naptha, butane or iso. The regimen will also include tinctures and edibles and those guides are included in my other thread.

For now there's not much going on while waiting for info resources but I can report that the milder caps I have been taking the past week have made a noticeable difference in my sleep and general well being. It's a real shame it doesn't fix bones.  :)

  14. This is the beginning of the tutorial for making your caps to a specific strength, either as milligrams or grams such as 250mg or .25g per dose. Same thing. In this phase I'll be doing the hardest part of it all - breaking down and decarbing all those beautiful buds. I'm going ahead with at least this part of the regimen even though my prognosis of having a health issue requiring the full monte is diminishing and I may not need to do the full plan. The caps will come in handy, though, no matter what arises, especially some that strong. However, I will be continuing with the plan to use the caps and some "tears" type oil on my skin cancers topically. I've just had 4 lesions cut off and about 70 pre-cancerous growths frozen and look like I fell into a cactus patch. If I can place the tears formula directly on future spots I may be able to avoid the cutting.  :)

I started out with an ounce but by the time I got around to doing this I had smoked a bit of it, so I had 18 grams of buds, something like Pineapple Lemon Kush Trainwreck.

    Broken down and decarbed.  SUNP0003.JPG

And ready to go into the freezer for at least 24 hours.  SUNP0004.JPG

    Next step a little later.

  15. Well, it seems that this is going to be needed after all. I just heard from the dermatologist and was informed that 3 of the biopsies on the removed lesions were benign. However, the fourth one is malignant and is at my right temple. I'll be getting that cut out, I hope. It's in kind of a bad spot and I'm not sure they'll actually be able to get it all. So, while it's not as bad as malignant melanoma, it can still spread to my organs.

I've just completed making the oil for my 250mg caps and will have some pictures of the process and a formula for dosing your caps to the potency desired. I believe these are going to be very good caps because when I had finished making the completed Dragon tincture, before concentrating for the caps, I put 8 drops in a shot of water and swished it around in my mouth for a minute before swallowing and I have been very stoned since and that was 6 hours ago. I haven't had anything else to smoke nor edibles since and I haven't had the desire to do so, although a small bowl might be in the picture soon. I have been active and have no pain, generally, so overall I'd say it was a successful batch.  :)

  16. I am glad to here that your tincture is doing the trick for you. Sorry about the lesion on your temple. Now we will get to see your caps kick ass on some cancer cells.

  17. Ive looked into the phoenix tears and RSO and wasnt impressed with what i was reading. Im not saying rick simson is doing a bad job, hes cured a few thousand cancer patience with a cruder cannibis oil that they have basically been making since the 70's. With that being said you and BKS are a more reliable help to the medicle community. Any time i have an edibles question or am about toame something its either one of her threads or yours. Ive looked at other edible recipes at other sites and had locals evem write them down and about half the time i end up laughing to myself because they are wasting so mich material. I would take your dragon recipe over pheonix tears any day of the week and i dont have cancer, if i did its all the more reason too.

  18.
Thanks for your confidence in my techniques, SupaaBaked, and it's greatly appreciated. When I first started this thread almost a year and a half ago I was just getting into this whole thing and trying to figure out the uses for various MMJ products. When I discovered the Phoenix Tears application I really couldn't figure out what made it different than other hash oil and so I set out to make some, just using ethanol instead of Naptha and an ounce of weed instead of a pound. The final product was.......ordinary hash oil, nothing special. This was before I knew about using hash oil to make clean edibles and other more concentrated products. RSO was supposed to be ingested, mainly, but there were many instances where the oil just mostly passed through the system without being absorbed due to the heavy concentration and lack of bioavailability.

The Simpson oil is good for smoking, but I don't care a lot for hash oils and never really have except for the novelty of it. If you've got cheap pot and can load a paper with the oil, that's fine but it's a waste of either reefer or oil if you have dank bud. There's just no way I'm going to buy some glass contraption and jump through a bunch of hoops just to catch a buzz. And for RSO, or any oil, to be effective medically other than pain relief, it needs to be ingested and not only does it need to be in a bioavailable form, it needs to be decarbed for maximum effect and Simpson doesn't decarb.

After poring over BKS thread I became aware of the inadequacies of the "RSO" as a medical treatment, even though it claimed numerous breakthroughs. I learned about coconut oil and other mediums that provide high bioavailability like honey and agave nectar and lecithin when needed. While she and I have our differences in some things, there's no denying that she sure knows her stuff about cannabis. At the time I found her guide for concentrated caps, I was already using the solvent transfer method for many of my products but hadn't put the pieces together yet and her reasoning for why using coconut oil was more beneficial than straight hash oil made a lot of sense. It occurred to me that if most of the RSO that's ingested isn't absorbed then that's a waste of good reefer and money.

So, over time, I have put together a strategy for dealing with these issues when the time came. You can see in my threads how I've been experimenting on a number of levels and while they all had an immediate purpose, the end goal was to discover what worked and what didn't so that I didn't waste precious resources later. I've spent hours and hours researching and using others as guinea pigs. I've gone through a couple of pounds of pot, or more, and am still tweaking things a bit but I believe I'm ready for the main event.

One thing's for sure, this damn tincture I made for this first batch is outstanding. I did another 8 drop sample this morning to test it fresh as a wake and bake and I can definitely say that I am baked. I had just started feeling it when I started this post and you can probably tell that it has progressed since I seem to be rambling. I've got my caps made and will be trying them out soon. The next phase of this treatment will be to make some hash oil like the RSO to use as a topical directly on the skin lesions as they arise.

I'll have the dosing guide and formula up a little later today.  :)

  19. Here's to the guinea pigs. Speaking for myself, I was glad to be of service. I also have to add,  that I am aslo greatful for the knowledge that was presented and the results that were achieved.

Coconut oil is awesome i use my canna oil in brownies and they come out delicous from the box. As far as i know coconut oil is more bio available than butter is that right?

I had a hard time finding lecithin in my area. Jojo said i can have his whole container because his girl had her gullbladder removed. Ironically my fiancee also had her gull bladder removed and it ended up giving her stomach pains or something like that so i guess through dumb luck that he saw my post i saved her a little pain. He said hes made edibles with and without lecithin and hasnt noticed a difference so i gave it a go. My first batch of brownies was better than any edible ive bought off the street were i live. Maybe ill grab a small container and make a seperate batch for me and see how big of a difference it makes.
