First time smoking from pipe. Tasty weed!

Usually I smoke joints with tobacco as weed is expensive over here (€50 for only 2.5 grams!!) but the other day I bought a cheap metal pipe and took a hit. The smoke felt a lot smoother and tasted fruity. I never get a good taste of the weed when I smoke a joint, am I using too much tobacco?
And about the pipe, after smoking a pinch of green in the bowl, I felt a bit strange and nervous or something. I was relaxed at the time and never get this when smoking joints. Also I felt little or nothing after using the pipe (apart from what's stated above) and thought maybe a should've smoked another bowl, but didn't want to waste more weed since I didn't enjoy it as much as I would a joint. Any tips?

Hi, the reason you are tasting a more "fruity" hit is because you aren't using tobacco in the pipe. This allows you to experience the full taste of Mary Jane. You probably aren't getting the same high as the joint with tobacco in it because when you smoke tobacco and weed you get a different high than just smoking purely weed. Don't trip, and I advise you use the pipe more Happy smoking!

A glass bowl would be 10x better than metal. And you can get a really cheap mass produced glass for as much as the metal one.

And one bowl won't get you as high as a joint. Smoke the same amount of weed as you would put in a joint.

Either Glass or hemp papers (without tobacco inside) are ideal

Ok thanks everyone, but still puzzled about the effect the pipe had on me... After a hit I just didn't feel right and didn't want to smoke anymore. I was kinda shaking and stuttered a bit. This only lasted about 5 minutes then I felt normal again, but I've never felt this way after a joint.
I'd like to be able to enjoy using the pipe though, but just wouldn't wanna waste more weed trying to get used to it.

Jittery or paranoid feelings can come from Sativa strains if you aren't used to them (full strength in your case). The feelings lessen as your tolerance grows. Don't necessarily believe strain names, but if a dealer says his kind gives a real "couch-lock" you won't feel jittery or paranoid.
