Hello all!
First off, what are some different options for concealing smell?
Second, how strong does a single plant smell?
Thanks!

not sure if your talking grow room or bud. I once did this, dont laugh at me
one big zip lock bag. spread peanut butter all over it, put it in another big zip lock bag, squirted vaseline all between the two bags. the theory of course, if one could not figure out is to create a barrier.

Buying a carbon filter or making a homemade one would probably be your best option.
1 plant budding will stank up a room pretty easily. Unless you get more of a neutral smelling strain.. but even then I would be careful.

It would be helpful if the OP described the grow situation, and how much stealth they need.

Well I kind of just wanted to know all of the different ways I could hide the smell. I'm planning on doing a closet grow in a cabinet type enclosure.
@illrolling how did that work out? Haha in theory it sounds like it might work. When I was younger and much newer to weed, I used to use water bottles to hide smells

I used a DIY carbon scrubber that does push the air our through the carbon. The best way is to pull the air through it. I also added a ONA gel bucket near the out take of the scrubber. Finally, I made a mini ONA using the small plastic coffee can with a whisper quiet fan inside the grow area. Only smell is when I open it and right up next to it which is normal

Phresh and a few others makes carbon filter that you can buy online. Not sure the best place to buy one since I built my own and it works great. I modified a DIY with parts that I had lying around.

Where do you buy a carbon filter?
You can find them all over online.. or you can try your local hydroponics shop.

I use a carbon filter I bought from the local hydro stored and it works wonders. I have a 4 inch fan hooked up to it and just vent it into the basement of my apt building. No smell what so ever except in the room and I'm 1 week out

A carbon filter is hands down 100% the way to go. If you are worried about being caught as far as i am concerned it is a MUST HAVE. In a grow there are a lot of places you can cut corners, security should NOT be that place. Your freedom is priceless.
As for ONA gel, that can be a good addition but shouldn't be your only measure of odor control. Moreover if you can smell it strongly in your grow room your bud is absorbing the chemicals, it can affect the taste of your bud and depending on the concentrations and how much you smoke of it may potentially be harmful (remember a smell is nothing more but tiny airborne particles of what you are smelling).
A good carbon filter can filter out the most skunky of smells.
