Hey,
Its taking so long to go through 21 pages in this forum..
So I will post my needs to be advised on the best air cooled hood/exhaust for 400 MH.
I will want to run the 1K eventually next winter but for now want a hood that can accommodate the huge bulb..ikes.
Also as I want to select a good vent I will assume 8" is best for exhaust and 6" for intake of fresh air.
If I have the temp control on the exhaust I will need what kind of device to organize this plan?
I suppose what I really want is a few suggestions of where to shop. The support staff there can help me I hope.
But its good to see who likes what now
Thanks,
Urlove

Big Kahuna or Big Daddy reflector. They both are top notch.

Just how many cubic feet are in the room you need to exhaust?

Cool6 hood with 400cfm 6" inline fan shoudl do the trick. I was at a local hydro shop and wanted to run a 4" inline fan with reducers to a 6" cool6 hood with 400w HM/HPS for the first month and a half, then move to 1000w MH/HPS all till harvest. The grow space being 5'wX5"Lx7'H just about 175sqf the guy in the hydro shop told me the 170cfm fan was insufficient for cooling the 400w hood whil moving the hot air out through a scrubber.

I went for the 6" inch, anyone else with more experience know better?
