I don't watch much TV, but when flipping through the channels, I see so much Titanic shit for the 100th anniversary.... and fucking people in England having a moment of silence for it? Come on.

Because James Cameron has a Titanic fetish he thinks people need to hear a bunch of conspiracy theories on how it sunk. We know how it sunk, it fucking hit an iceberg or some shit and sank. Now like really, 100 years later, can we move on?

This does not really bother me that much but I just want to know what other people think about it as per a logical conclusion.

LMAO. This thread finally put words to that awful/kill-everything-in-sight feeling any time I hear about the Titanic.

Oh, 1500 people died? Okay, grats! 52 x (yes, motherfucking TIMES) that number died from pneumonia (in america alone) in the same year. Where are the romantic stories about pneumonia? Where are the stories about suicide, which was responsible for 6 x more deaths (and is obviously a million times more emo?)

And don't get me wrong, dear god, I don't want to sit through any of those fucking stories. I just want everyone to stfu about trivial bullshit.

Titanic was an excellent movie and one of the greatest during the 90's and yeah I cried (but I'm not the type of people that is afraid to show emotions tho) but I'm not wasting money to see it again just because its in HD lol its all up to the people's choice.

I guess so...I mean I think that damn movie does
it all. Yes I do like the movie, but I don't think like
Titanic = Romance. It was a tragedy and for me,
it's super scary.

I would never go on a cruise or out in the ocean.
So really, it's a horrific story to me that impacts
me way more than the movie ever could.

Then to think, yes there were people on that boat
who loved each other, had children...all that shit
happened. Awful. Some of the people on that boat
weren't even meant to be on it, and that's sad.
Their fates were sealed with a change of a boarding
pass...

That whole thing is fucked up.
