Hey all.

I've been growing in the same outdoors spot for a few seasons now. This year I want to add screen and cause a mini outdoor scrog.

I am planning for 10 plants and would be more then happy if I yield 10lbs. This soil is one of a kind in my books and has only been improved over the last two seasons I've used it.

This year I amended with fresh compost and forest leafs, kelp, alflafa, rock phosphates, azomite, dry molasses, and a pinch of lime (about 2 weeks ago). This spot is super unique because the soil stays moist on it own due to a near by marsh land. I never have had to worry about watering the last two seasons I've used the spot and the plants I grew were easily 10-11 feet tall. Just fucking massive. I had to use a damn Christmas tree saw to cut them down.

Anyway, In my area I have to be fearful of frost, I have to plan the season right so I don't plant to early and get hit with the last frost or let them go to late and get snowed on or forst.

My strains are going to be, Pure Power plant and Sour Diesel. I usually let plants go until the 3rd or 4th week of October but of course that is all weather permitting.

My goals for this grow are to keep it simple, keep it organic, and yield enough to pay off my debts so I can move to Colorado bills free.

Ill post some pictures soon. I started vegging late like a fool so I may have to wait 2 weeks until they are ready to be put outdoors.

My main concerns are pest and stupid deer along with other Human beings of course. I try to make my grows blend in with their surroundings really well. This year I will be adding small screens which of course automatically means these plants were put there by someone. I have always in the past planted in a manor that if someone was to walk up on the plants for whatever reason they would assume the just grew naturally. Ehhh well that is the hope!

here are some plants from previous seasons.

Turkey, deer, cranes, rabbits, frogs, caterpillars, it’s all there, complete solidarity away from civilization.
Something about being away from everything is so inspiring, so gratifying and is a means to reset my routines of a daily life.

After a slow 4x4 creep, I find parking, its all on foot from here.

Deer trail

The natural layout of plot one. Its rested on marsh like land next to a body of water. Deep black moist soil, which if you dig low enough; hits water.

I dig roughly a 2.5’x2.5’x1’ size hole on the flattest ground I can find.

The black gold is swarming with life…

I amend the native black gold with some nice spice:

Kelp meal
crab meal
fish meal
Neem meal
Cottonseed meal
oyster shell
alflafa
azomite
diatomaceous
gypsum
rock phospates
green sand
N-P-K bat guano
dry molasses
lime

And a full bag of leaf compost for each hole.

Its hard work logging 120lbs of compost deep into the woods. I doubt I even need it to be honest but I just like knowing I did it.

Native soil or black gold

Fresh leaf compost

And this is what happens when I dig to low..woops. Self watering soil.

Finished product. No plants yet, waiting just a tad bit longer for the weather while I veg them indoors. (1 of 5)

I found these perfect green triangle tomato cages. They form a small screen around the plant which will create a more full bush I hope! I have topped all my plants that are going to be outdoors. I hope they don't reach over 12ft tall like the none topped, screen plants in the past have.

And a true hard days work

very nice plants benny! and your soil recipe is a nice one.. you may want to add peat moss, and perlite or sand though to really air out the mix.. and your definitely gunna wanna do that by the looks of your plot. is this the same plot you've always been growing in? the plot i use is very similar to that of yours.. the native soil is pretty much identical to yours except mine may have a bit more clay content.. but as far as water being easily accessible from the bottom of the holes.. it definitely looks like a similar wetlandish area.

anyway last season we were slammed with rain at the end of the season and my holes retained way to much water and most of my plants got awful root rot from the standing water. adding peat/perlite to that mix will definitely let the soil dry out fast if their are heavy rains.. i took such a hit last year though that if i were to plant in the similar location i think i would go with smartpots, and just use some of that delicious and nutritious native soil..

just my .02

Ya its the same spot I used the last two seasons. It seems to get better and better each year as I build the soil. I never thought about the sand, that probably would have been a good idea but I dont think I could log it out there, I would probably die! lol thanks for stopping in dude.

Probably a mile or so? Actually there is a road about 1/2 South.

How far away do you live and how often do you visit your spot while the plants are growing?

Keep posting I want to see your results. I hope your photos aren't gps tagged or anything. I heard about that technology I'm not sure how it works. Good luck.

Fuck, I had to delete my pics.

Good thing you caught that before your thread got a lot of attention. Looking good man! Wish I could find a spot that good, my area sucks.
