White/Brown veins on seedlings?

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Eagle71500, Apr 1, 2012.

  1. Grow medium: Soil mixture with perlite
    Planted: 4/14/2012
    Not using any nutrients
    Light source: 2 x 45 watt Fluorescent

Appeared in the last three. I flushed them on Sunday and had only lightly watered on Monday. I flushed again yesterday (Saturday). Maybe I've underwatered but I can't find any illness that matches up with what my poor plants are experiencing. Need some help

  2. Are you SURE your soil has no nutrients? Looks like you're using miracle grow, only crappy soil includes wood bark. Also check your pH and runoff

  3. I'll check both out. You think the soil has nutes and this is nute burn. The ingredients don't list any...I'll post a pic on the plants and the soil

  4. Sometimes seeds 'give birth' to the leaves and it's like when humans have to fit thru a birthcanal and their heads get smooshed and cone shaped. Those leaves, the first set, have had difficulties with unfolding from the seed shell. The new growth looks fine, I wouldn't worry. Only water when the soil is dry, and when you water, douse it until it's fully wet. Takes days to dry out. Let them be for a while and see if they look better by next week.

  5. Update on the 8 babies. New growth is looking good so far.
