I started Vegging from seed, boi that was a mistake, next time i know to use clones..

vegging date started: february 18, 12.

**I am currently on my 4th week of veg, And might or might not flip on the 5th week mark depending on what you guys think, i'll provide pictures in one sec,

**Vegging under a 400watt mh Useing foxfarm nutes with a digital ballest. (money savor!)

**builded the dwc bucket on my own better then spending 50 bucks on one saved about 30:)

I will update this thread daily, weekly w.e you guys would like:)

you might think the temp is high, but if you think about it, outdoor growing & the sun can get up to a 100+degrees, besides the shower is right on top of this if anything goes wrong :)

I think you will be fine. The longer you veg the bigger they will get so its really up to you and how much space/time your working with. I burned my plants too in veg right b4 flower. I flushed them and swithced them into flower and now they are doing fine. I think your plant will surprise you. Just make sure that you fix that problem. Mine requird the flush. Happy flowering!

I know what you mean. Mine were locked up for a week+ because I added too much nutz and didn't have the proper flushing solution/equipment. I bought florakleen, pumps, hoses, adapters, the works just so that I could flush them properly. Spared no expense. But now they are good. Its like being a parent, you'll do/spend anything to get your kids healthy again.

I've never dealt with the issue you're experiencing.. What is the temp of you water in the DWC bucket? I would suspect it's too hot. I like the use H2O2 - it can be picked up at the hydro store.. It's a higher strength then what you would by at the grocery store.

Res temps should be around 68-72.

Obviously I'm still a newb myself!! Just keep reading and using google to search you questions!

your right, i just took a trip to the hydro store and the guy told me same thing you did, but i been switching water bottles every few hours i guess i gotta add 2 bottles instead of one, & h2o2 cant be used with fox farms so ima just add the h2o2 alone and give it about 24hrs and see what happens thx m8

Yeah do that h2o2 in ph,ed plain water for 48 hours and then drain and flush . Then introduce nutes but only 1/4 strength for 3-4 days then half strength for about a week then 3/4 strength until they ready for full strength , many people only ever go to 3/4 strength the hole way . I think its a good idea to stay away from full strength until they are very strong . full strength dosnt mean faster or bigger plants ,all newbies should never go full strength till they no when there plants are asking for it .L.C

thx last clone,
this is how i started out my nutes..
week 1 200ppms 5.8-6.5 ph
week 2 400ppm
week 3 600ppm
week 4 800ppm ( this week i had a cal/mag issue & caused those yellow leaves)
week 5 just used plain r.o water & cal/mag+
week 6 500ppm & led me to this rot
but hopfully this h2o2 29% i boguth earlyer should fix this problem..

I'd make sure you got a thermometer for your water as well.. I suspect that the root issues are from high temps.

Also I dont think I was even close to 800 at week 4! Follow this advice Chimera gave me early on. It's been golden ;)

Glad to have you onboard, bubbler are easy and as far as nute levels thats easy, start low and listen to your plant, i.e. watch you tds level if its going down by more than 50 points raise it if it is going down but only slightly, less than 50 points all is good , if it stays the same or goes up better lower it before you have problems, and thats how you listen to your plants, the only other thing to it is keeping the ph in the sweet zone!

very true, my bucket atm is very cold, i'll buy one for sure my next run which is going to be very similar like your grow 4x4 1000wat dwc scrog, i just spent every dollar i have on this setup & thinkin bought spending my last 20 bucks on ona block which is going to be really important in the next week or 2, but for now i think 2 iced water bottles at a time should do, thx for tellin me tho:smoke:

I guess I am lucky my PH meter has temp gauge on it, but its in C instead of F. I found a free app that converts it right on my phone..

Oi Hoodster Last Cone here and i have noticed you have a clear air line in you photos . That is the reason i am betting . Have done the same thing when i started dwc and got rot at about 4 weeks vedge . Very very important to hsave roots in the dark with no light leaks at all .The clear hose is a big problem as far as im concerned
