Hey everyone I have followed the forums for a while and finally started my own grow. I will be asking for advice and tips throughout the life of these plants.

I decided on just a few so I don't get overloaded.

I have a total of four seeds;
1 - Sour Diesel
1 - Cheese
2 - Random bag seeds

I am growing them under one 125 watt CFL with a reflector, along with Happy Frog growing medium.

I officially started on 3-3-12, and I plan on updating regularly as I see changes.

They were all four placed straight into the plugs, and wouldn't you know it the Sour D seed is the first to arise from the earth(well sort of).

I took it from the rest and started it under the lights on an 18/6 light schedule and it has already started to produce leaves.

HOWEVER, I noticed what looks like burning or something manifesting itself on this sprout.

Any thoughts as to what might be causing this and if I should be worried? Those were taken about 7 hours ago and this is what it looks like now.

The other seedlings have yet to come above ground level (although the cheese is incredibly close).

I will keep you guys updated.

You're going to need more light. And probably less plants.

Most people recommend 150 watts actual for 1 plant, and addt'l 50 w for each plant after that. That's a minimal setup.

And to answer your question: I think that looks like a fine little sprout. Sometimes plants start out a little bit confused. How would you feel if you just popped out of the ground?

MORNING UPDATE

I moved the cheese under the lights to join the Sour d. The cheese is fresh from the shell, and still a wee bit shy.

It looks like I should have moved the cheese last night.

The lights are about to turn off. Do you think with two or three hours of light followed by six hours of darkness and onto a normal light schedule will effect anything?

Here's an update of the Sour D.

Just a quick update, the Sour D is looking slightly healthier and the cheese started to reach for the stars.

I was going to ask if you guys thought anything would help. I just gave them a bit more water, stuck them on the heat mat and the Sour D looks a lot better already.

Hey, it all Looks good to me! They're off to a fine start.

They don't need any more help. Just let them do what they do. Seedlings are amazing little creatures; they really don't need much. Be careful of overwatering though.

ya i was gonna say, be careful because it might be over watering. Seedlings are killed more often from too much water than not enough.

I've been trying to be careful about the watering, I only water when I see the soil visibly drying up. Thanks for the advice, and checking out my grow.

UPDATE

They formed their second set of leaves(isn't their a term for that?). Seeing this definitely excites me, I can't wait to see where they go from here.

UPDATE

Both are happily growing. The Sour D has a couple white spots forming on the one leaf, but I seriously doubt it could be mold or mites at this stage.

UPDATE

The Sour D is looking really good, but the cheese isn't. It's funny how they're taking turns playing sick.

what are you watering these with? There seems to be a nute problem somewhere, but I wouldn't think Happy Frog would cause it.

They're both looking a lot better, I do wonder why the leaves started off looking weird though. As long as they keep growing, I'll be happy.

The cheese is still looking pretty good, a bit of curling on the leaves which I think is from dehydration. I just gave the cheese some water, not so much to the Sour D though.

The Sour D looks a bit droupy which might be from to much water so I will let it dry out first before I give any more.

They look overwatered to me considering I havent seen the soil dry once. I water my plants about every 3 days. Also I would expect them to be bigger now, another sign of overwatering..

You're probably right, I'm going to cut back to once every other day and see if they improve.

When I do water them I normally fill the tray with enough water to soak into the soil from the drain hole in the pot.

Lol on a side note, how often do you see someone use the word pot on a weed forum and not be talking about marijuana.
