What is the difference between hash and weed?

    I'm a new smoker and I have only smoked about 6 times. I have only smoked hash, and I would like to what the difference is between hash and weed.

    I know what they are, but I want to know how the difference between the highs, because I don't like the hash high as much as I think I would like the weed high. I always get very sleepy, sometimes nauseous and my brain pretty much just shuts off and starts again when I come down, which isn't that fun. I would like to think more when high.

    Hash is the equivalent of like concentrated weed. Pretty much, the THC from nugs/shake/whatever is extracted using different methods (butane, isopropyl, heat). This leaves you with some super potent black/brown/greenish dank booger lookin stuff.

    The high is just like.... Kinda the same but way stronger. I smoked some for the first time last weekend and it was just an incredibly strong high.

    Ohh and it depends what type of hash you're smoking. Sativa. Indica. Hybrid. A sativa high is going to make your mind very active and make you wanna just do shit. An indica high is gonna make you sleepy and more couchlock. So find a sativa and you won't be tired

    Not all hash is super strong. There is mediocre hash.

    Okay, thanks. I think it's pretty hard to get a specific type of hash around here, since you just ask for some hash and then that's it. But I'll look into it. :)

    The difference? A dab will put you on your fucking ass, weed will, but it'd have to be SERIOUS dank.

    Hash is made removing the trichomes, the little sticky hair things on your weed, and then compressing alot of them together to make a very highly concentrated source of THC.

    Or you can extract the lipid soluble cannabinoids in the trichomes and evaporate off the solvent to get a more oily hash.

    Hash is generally more potent marijuana and you need a much smaller amount to get you high.

    True, if you're making like pipe resin hash or something. But I did that just for shits and giggles and it was pretty potent still.

    You know those pretty little crystals? The ones that look so dank? Those crystals are techtromes, the THC resin glands. Once the plants dried it's knocked off, it's pressed and then you get hash. It's super concentrated bud in a block of matter state. [​IMG]

    Alright, but does it produce different highs? Like, do you get more tired off hash but more active off weed?

    if you want a high that is like the complete opposite of what you have been describing, try vaping a sativa strain.

    With vaping you dont get the CBD chemicals and you dont get the "high" from the smoke and harmful substances from the smoke, so it is a more clear-headed and active high. Some people love that cloudy headed high from smoking indicas, some dont.

    Some people hate vaping highs. Its all up to the person.

    Its worth a try, at least

    Generally in denmark and other areas hash isn't always made with just weed, most of the time it's not very potent because there is other material in the hash to make it seem like more.

    Weed can range from 1-10.

    Hash can range from 5-11.

    Goldenseal hash from the middle east has opium and other spices in it, but in the US hash is just a concentrated ball of trichomes, usually extracted with water, butane, or isopropyl alcohol. It's like an ounce of weed can be cut down into 20 percent of its original mass, but have the same amount of thc.
