Hey all, I'm pretty new here @ Grasscity, just came over from rollitup.org due to lazy mods, and lax security.

Anyway, I thought I'd start my journal up over here instead!

There's a tiny bit of yellowing on the tips of one of the plants, I believe it to be nute burn... I likely bumped them from 1/4 strength to 1/2 strength too quickly...

Hi beef plants are looking great man!! How do you like the pro grow? I know nothing about LEDs I've been looking at the progrow 550. Can you grow good size plants? Mine usually finish about 3 ft. I'm watching your grow I might give LEDs a shot.

With LED's the area of intense light is quite small compared to HID so you need to scrog or LST to get the most out of them. (Or have crazy supplemental lighting)

My last plants were about 2 or 2 1/2 ft tall, and I pulled 92g dry off one and 72g dry off the other.... all primo smoke!

Ran zero A/C, and never saw a temp above 23-24 degrees Celsius (73-75 Fahrenheit)

Thanks beef that sounds good man!! I was thinking about doing a scrog with my waterfarm in a 3x3 or 4x4 with the pro grow 550. I think it'll be good for the summer

I'd reccommend 3x3 for the 550....

I don't have personal experience with it, but 480W is actually slightly lower than the minimum I'd run for LED in that size of an area...

For high quality product, with standard LED lighting you're looking at about 125-150W per 2x2 area... Kessils are less (H350 is 90W for a 2x2 area), I know you could get away with less, but for premium quality buds it's a good starting point!
