weed completes me

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Tuxx, Feb 15, 2012.

  1. I was mentally addicted, after I finished my sack of weed if my dealer didnt pick up the phone I'd go ape shit. I convinced myself I NEEDED weed to function. I'm not saying weed is bad I still smoke just not like I used to.

I'm speaking from personal experience. For some people, weed is addictive. Just because it isn't as 'harmful' or 'addicting' as other drugs doesn't mean it isn't addictive or harmful at all. What obtuse logic. That's like saying to a homeless person 'hey man stop your complaining, it isn't cold out here tonight. It's barely even freezing. Ask an eskimo in antarctica what cold REALLY feels like.'

Now of course that doesn't mean weed is addictive for everyone, or even most people. But then for some people alcohol is extremely addictive. Personally I don't understand how anyone could get into drinking it all day every day. I like getting drunk but no more than once or twice a week at the very most. It makes me feel terrible otherwise in every sense of the word. Besides, alcohol makes it physically impossible to do a great deal of things without being a huge danger to both oneself and others. Whereas cannabis doesn't affect ones performance to anywhere near the same degree, even if it does make one generally slower and too 'peaceful' to function at their best.

Would you argue that alcohol isn't addictive for some? Of course you wouldn't. So why is it that so many stoners feel such a desperate need to defend every orifice of their sacred plant and condemn, scorn and ridicule anyone who suggests even the slightest criticism against it?

  3. I wish grass was cheaper here , ( Im not really in California) I find im treating my problems with cheaper alternatives ( I wont go into details here) when weed does the safest and best job.
    Thats just life for you

  4. First of all, the fact that you are even comparing alcohol and marijuana is damn ridiculous. If one is addicted to marijuana then how is it possible for someone to take a tolerance break or quit smoking because they are trying to find a new job, etc so easily? Sure, you could argue that everyone is different, but anyone who were to start to drink alcohol everyday would eventually have withdrawals if they go without, because alcohol IS ADDICTIVE! I've been smoking quite a bit of weed on a daily basis for years (at least 2 grams) and just recently VERY EASILY took a week long t-break. There's a difference between an addiction and having no fucking will power. Give me a damn break, dude. No one goes to rehab to stop their weed "habit", they just stop (unless they were forced to go under the law). All of those who talk about how they spend all of their money on weed clearly just need to learn some responsibility.

  5. ^^^
Some people have addictive personalities some dont. Anything that releases feel good chemicals can be addictive, maybe not physically but mentally. That being said everyone knows weed isn't addictive In the same sense as heroine, but some people like myself NEED/needed weed to be happy.

  6. Haha very easily? I'm willing to bet others around you thought you were a pissy bitch without your precious herb to make you 'peaceful' and 'one with nature'. It's clear from your posts that you're full of aggression and love an argument. I can willing to bet you're not this way when you're stoned on cannabis.

Watch this video. You sound EXACTLY like the stoner girl. So defensive of your habit.

  7. LOL Whatever you say, chief. :)

  8. There doesn't have to be physical symptoms in order to be addicted to something. You can be addicted to many things that arnt even drug related (exercise, porn, hoarding, etc.).

The notion that you cant become addicted to weed is ridiculous and then to call out other peoples "Will Power" is beyond crazy. All people are different, all people have a different susceptibility towards an addictive personality.

  9. people who claim to be addicted to weed have obviously never been addicted to anything in their lives...
ask someone who's addicted to cigarettes. it's a whole different feeling

  10. Yes obviously...

No, the feeling is not all that different. Ive quit both for short periods of time(weed for 8 months, and cigarettes for 3 months recently). I would say both were pretty equally hard to quit. I felt just as much draw to smoking weed as I did for cigarettes, only difference was the legal ramifications if I would of failed a drug test that kept me clean for so long.

  11. It all depends on your definition of addiction. Most people think of the raging alcoholic or the heroin junkie when they hear the word "addiction". They don't think of the health nut addicted to running or even all the daily coffee drinkers around the world.

If you consume a lot of cannabis on a daily basis, of course your body will react and adapt and would do the same if you stopped. :smoke:

  12. Alright I'm gonna give my first hand knowledge about addiction. I'm pretty badly addicted to cigarettes. I am well aware of my addiction and it literally hangs over my head every minute. I wish I could quit but I can't. Weed on the other hand is completely different. I have been avidly blazing for a couple years now but I have no problem taking a break. I don't sleep as well when I don't smoke but its not as if I won't sleep the entire night if I don't. That's just my story and addiction is different for everyone but I just though I should weigh in

  13. I'm glad you feel your life is back on track, but as BasedLord said don't give weed the credit. In my experience (this doesn't necessarily go for everyone else) weed hindered my attempts to better myself. I also struggle with an anxiety disorder and the depression that tends to accompany it, and while weed did make me feel better for a couple hours, once the high wore off I was no better off, so I'd smoke again, and again, and again... I didn't realize at the time but weed was covering up my problems, not resolving them.

  14. Anything that makes you feel whole and satisfied is a good thing, I'd go as far and say a gift from god so his people can cope with the world. But everything should be enjoyed in moderation. Being a burnt out stoner isn't a good look.

  15. This analogy is supported only by introverts, case closed.

  16. Your right, Gods plant is absolutely glorious but too much of it will make you take it's toll on your skin, eyes etc.

  17. On some real shit
Ever since I started smoking everything just seems so much better. My anxiety and depression has gone down and I wake up everyday blessed to be on this planet with this beautiful herb. Stay up nd stay lifted

  18. i would definatly say weed fills the hole in my heart.

not sure theres one thing i like about it(except schwag) but thats the growers fault.
or when the bowl shits on you when you take the last hit! but that can be fixed with a glass screen :p

i love the taste, the smell, the texture, the look, the hairs, the crystals, the plant, hemp products, the way the smoke feels in your lungs, the feeling of being high, i love breaking weed down, rolling weed... blah blah blah

pretty sure i love it ALL

  19. I feel the same way, but I'd like to specify my own views.

Cannabis alone didn't transform me from being sad, having suicidal thoughts and anxiety, but it has helped me find more and more of myself. It has helped me find a path in life.

I think it's important to be aware of this, and not simply expect cannabis to solve your problems and make everything alright, unless that is your goal, and you are aware of it.

A person who smokes all his problems away, with no intentions of turning his life around WITH the help of cannabis, is simply abusing it, in my opinion. You'll just be stuck in this hole of misery.

If you intend to turn your life for the better, cannabis can show you the path, help you get through hard times, and more importantly; help you find yourself.

It's great to share our previous experiences and see how cannabis has helped us overcome our troubles.

    Lastly, toke on fellow blades!
