Carb and Slider

Hey GC,
I just finished a homemade water bong (socket for the slider, metal pen for the downstem), and I'm wondering if I need to have a movable slider AND a carb? Wouldn't logic (and air pressure) hold that you only need one or the other to properly rip the thing? I understand that it makes cleaning easier to have a removable slider, but the way it matches up with the downstem isn't all that good and it'd be nice to be able to seal them together instead of making some tin-foil contraption.

just make a carb. don't make a slider.

having both is fucking stupid.

I figured, as I was testing the thing I realized 'wait, air is coming in from 2 holes, what the fuck is going on here'.

hah yea. it'd clear mostly through the carb if you made both., and the slide would just be an unnecessary mess.
