Is This Repairable?

was goin on... story is i bought this bong 3 days ago and i already fuckin broke it, so can anyone who knows enough about repairing glass bongs tell me if this is actually repairable?

Its an Ehle made out of borosilic(Sp?) glass and its broken on the mouthpiece.
idealy id like the neck to be chopped off and then from the joint extend the tube straight up

Re: Is This Repairable?

It would probably cost you more then it is worth, but I did find a guy (artist) in Venice CA. that does repairs.

I'm not an expert but i think that may be repairable.

Email stoneglassworks@gmail.com and send him the pictures.

Good luck!

Re: Is This Repairable?

You could just get someone to cut it off at the bend. That shouldn't cost that much.

Re: Is This Repairable?

My bong broke recently, although only at the joint, and from my research that bong is not really fixable.. Blowing that portion back would cost you as much or more than the bong cost.
That being said, an idea could be to sand it down to make it even so its shorter and then get a blower to blow a lip part. Not sure if that would work, but do call one up and send pics.

I talked to Preston at Stoneglassworks about mine too, but it wasnt feasible for me as I'm in Canada, but might be for you.

from what I've seen blowers won't make that kind of repair. Still good luck. Hope you can find one that will.

Re: Is This Repairable?

Somebody could definitely fix that... just thought I should mention since some people said it couldn't be done. You've got Preston's email... go for it.

Re: Is This Repairable?

just cut some cardboard out of a cerial box into a rectangle evenly, make sure its bigger than the break in your bong, then just kind of connect the two sides of the rectangle together around the bong so it is tight, then tape the bottom part of the cardboard to the bong so it stays and just add more tape all the way around so it stays in place, also if u'd like, tape around the top part where u inhale for lil more comfort instead of having that scracty cardboard on ur mouth, enjoy

Re: Is This Repairable?

That would be easy...just make a clean cut below the bend and shape a mouthpiece and you got a str8 ehle. prob wouldnt cost more the 60 bucks

They could also weld on an extended section and maybe do like a grip in the middle so the welds don't look weird... You know like on the US tubes straights around the ice notches?

this is what i was thinking, cut off the bent neck and extend it, but it does seem costly. i think i might just try and have a blower cut off the chipped top and make it even with a lip piece so then it will just have a shorter neck.
