Question Bong or Bubbler?

Hi,

I am relatively new to smoking and am considering purchasing a good smoking device (kinda getting sick of a bottle)

I was thinking of getting a bubbler first because of its portability / easy to hide. But I've been told they are pretty harsh due to the small amount of water used to cool the smoke. And since I am pretty new to smoking and want to use it as a main piece (for now until I purchase a good bong) I am not sure.

I was thinking of getting Fumed sidecar bubbler - Dutch - Grasscity.com for a bubbler

or

the molino mad scientist v2 (out of stock) or 2000 Ice - Magic Glass Bong - Dutch - Grasscity.com

and finally for an in between Colored Bubbler - Dutch - Grasscity.com

Thanks

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

Go for the bubbler, i used to have a bong and a sidecare before i got rid of them and always had fun with the bubbler. Sidecars also have a very nice fit in your hand and get the job done if they have the shotgun like carb placement. Tho they are a bitch to clean and fill with water/empty but same can be said for all bubblers.

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

if those are your choices, then that sidecar bubbler is sick, i'd go with that.

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

depends on your situation. if you need something portable...bubbler.

if you have your own place, where you can relax and toke, id go with a tube.

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

i dont think bubblers are any more harsh than a bong. In fact id be more worried about not being able to clear a bong than the smoke being too harsh from a bubbler.
I say get a bubbler. Ive owned three bubblers, and they have always been my favorite pieces. But if you get a bong, then id suggest an EHLE from edit.

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

and, i think that spending 125$ on a bubbler is kind of pointless when you get the same functionality out of the cheaper ones that are less artsy. esepccially if its your first piece.

just my opinion though. i bought the one from gC that s 47$ as my first real piece...and its served its purpose very well. once you buy one piece of glass, youll want another. warning you of that too.

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

Thanks all, I am pretty sure I will purchase the sidecar. The portability is really handy since I live at home, I'll post some pics when it comes.

Thanks for the advice

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

Yeah, I love the design. I figured, if I am going to get something I may aswell get a good piece that I will be able to enjoy for a long time. Shipping will take awhile, I can't wait.

Re: Bong or Bubbler?

I would dish out some more money and buy an EHLE bong from EDIT. They are great quality.
