How much THC gets killed in a bong?

The amount of actual THC that gets absorbed by the water is such a miniscule amount that there's no way you would feel a difference. You get higher when you take bigger hits becuase that's more THC in your lungs at one time,making the high more intense. You only need to hold bong hits in for 2-3 seconds. Technically, THC is NOT water soluble. You can't compare a bong and vape becuase they are totally different processes, one is heated(NOT smoke) and the other contains many other chemicals and gasses created by combustion, but the water soluble ones get stopped by water of course

Hey man bongs are the best for it. Water and THC don't bond, that's why you need pure alcohol to clean your bong.

I hit a huge bit of dank bud about 2 or 3 hours ago, went to get my hair cut and pick up a replacement piece for the shower and am now listening to music, with a still satisfactory buzz going on.

But anyways, I get higher with a blunt personally (idk I like the social part of passing the blunt), I kind of don't like bongs just because everyone praises them (lol), I hate joints, can't afford a vape... so blunt is the default. Anyways, yea so my friend takes a water bottle, burns a hole near the bottom, then he cut out the top part of the cap, replaces that with foil (with holes punctured in, also I heard smoking using foil/aluminum *really* fucks your head up, is that true?) and then we fill it with water, put our finger over the hole. Finally we put the weed on top, put a flame right above it, and move our fingers from the hole. Basically the smoke gets sucked down into the bottle... I guess by the empty air? And no visible smoke can be seen floating up, though there is a bit that goes up but then it gets sucked down. I was wondering how much this produced? (Put ur finger over the hole and the top when you're done. When you feel like taking a pull you take your finger off the hole and uncover the top and pull, almost always makes my friends cough), only limitation is the amount of weed. Apparently there's a limited size for the container since we tried it with a *big* ass container and we just ended up wasting weed *sadface*... yea...

ALL plastic has a softening point. And with that every model of plastic is different.
Even if you cant see it melting, a bowl attached to plastic still softens the oil and releases fumes. I have been tasting the plastic in my water bottles recently when i open up a fresh bottle. It was probably laying in the sun and let soem of that oil into the liquid because it was the worst taste ever. Everything i use and eat is tasting like fucking petroleum.

And to buddac, the reaosn people 'praise' bongs are because they are so good! Its not an issue of conforming or bullshit like that, but that in reality, this culture views water pipes(aka bongs) as the superior SMOKING device. Notice i say smoking, whoch is completly different form vaporizing. Though you still inhale vapor, it has no effect on your body watsoever.

You have different sizes to select from, whether you're on the move or baking at home.

The amount of weed you require to get a good hit is quite low, compared to say a joint.

Cleaner and safer than smoking a joint, but obviously not superior to the vape.

well you get like ..what..15 - 20% of the thc from a blunt and you get like...30 - 45% of thc from a pipe and you get 75 - 89% thc out of a bong and the you get like 90 - 97% thc from a vaporizer. sooo you do the math

Not to be ranting about semantics, but i think its more like this
joints/blunts- 20 or so %
pipes- 30 something percent
bongs- around 40-50%

Vaporizers can deliver 95% of the thc originally in the weed. But remember that vaporizing is a different sort of high.

Word, people must realize that the ONLY, and i repeat ONLY reason a bong gets you high faster it because of the enormous size of the hit, or the amount of smoke you get at once. And the reason you can take more smoke then a dry piece is because of water. Get a real bong and taste the rainbow! i mean, taste and feel the difference from plastic and metal.

Threads like this are useless, honestly who here has definitive results for which method of "smoking" is better (smoking, not using a vaporizer).

Also I don't understand why people even bother making bongs with plastic water bottles. You can get a great bong for $70, and have it for years. I bought a bong only because you can take large hits without the harshness of a dry piece, that alone warrants getting a bong.

I'm going to go ahead and take a guess on this one... my friends and i build tons of home-made peices and we have been for quite some time... for the past two years we've mainly only used glass... because our objective is all glass, nothing else, it's quite hard getting perfect seals and takes a ton of teedeous work to get everything sealed correctly... i have noticed though, that if there is a very tiny leak, for some reason the weed will burn extremely fast and you can almost cash an entire bowl but you don't actually pull in that much smoke... it's a really weird effect but it hapens a lot when we first test them before we finish everything up... so i'd try pulling on the bong with your thumb covering the actuall bowl head and seeing if you can even get the slightest draw... because if you can you need to fix that shit
