Besides that, find a friend who doesn't have to worry about mommy and have him put it on his card while you give him cash.
Sorry if I sound rude, but I'm out of bud and it makes me..... well, rude.

To answer your question op, yes they will work. Any form of debit card or prepaid card will work.
LOL, sorry OP. I should have added this to my reply as well. Zinku418 is correct I believe.

Read whatever card your looking at, if it doesnt specificly say that international purchases are allowed, odds are it may not work. I have read people mention vanilla prepaid cards, but cant verify personally.
All the new prepaid debit card rules were enacted after 9/11 as a supposed way to track international funding of organizations.

I dont know about the greendot, but most prepaid cards wont work because it is an international purchase. My regular bank account card actually wont work unless I call the bank and ask them to authorize international purchases. What does work is a walmart visa money card. You will not be able to order international with the temp card you get at purchase. You have to register and they will send the actual debit card to whatever address you give them. Once you get that, it can be used internationaly. I use one to get seeds from the uk, works great.

I've used my bank card (which is usbank, visa card) on the grasscity site many times without having to notify my bank about making a international purchase. I have also used a walmart prepaid visa card before with no troubles. I'm pretty certain any mastercard, visa, or discovery card would work, seeing as those are probably the biggest suppliers of the credit/debit network. What kind of card were you using that gave you that error?

It is a visa debit card issued by my bank, not all banks do this but mine does. I didnt want to have to call them, and possibly have someone paying extra attention to my purchase. There have been quite a few people with the same problem.
I even email gc to try and pay them for a forum membership, and that is what they told me.

Green dot cards will NOT I repeat WILL NOT work on any international orders. How do I know? I just went to Walgreens, where they had a rather large selection of pre-paid cards from several different companies. All of them, green card included said that they could only be used at a U.S merchant NO INTERNATIONAL purchases. So does anyone know of a full-proof way to buy seeds online? Because most people who are willing to use their actual credit or debit card may have to call and have their card approved for international purchases. And who wants extra eyes on what we're all trying to do? So I guess our only option is an international money order? Anyone know more about this? It's a common question but obviously things are getting a little tighter.
I use a Walmart money card, which interestingly enough ran through greendot. You do have to register a permanent card to order international though, can't do it with the temp card. I've used mine for several seed orders.

Oh ok so it's almost like an actual debit card? Honestly ive been trying to order from attitude all day, and I've concluded that the only way to order from them if you are ordering from the U.S is to use an international money order.
Yes, it is an actual debit card, but you can give them your mailing address and get online statements so that you would be the only one to know about it. They cost $3 per month, then $3 to load cash on them. My last attitude order was for about $300 in beans, and it went through no problem.

If that works, pay for whatever it is that you plan on buying on GC under the Paypal account. It will still charge you on your credit card but the payment won't say 'Grasscity', it will say 'Paypal'.
