Getting a new bong today! Any tips?

I'm getting it from a lhs and plan to spend around $200. I don't really have anything in mind but I know they just got a shipment of medicali's. So what would you guys recommend? Do you like medicalis? And I was also thinking about an ash catcher.

i bought an ash catch for 30 bucks, dont really need to clean my bong, just gotta clean the ash catch, a lot easier.... So.... yeah..

Yeah i agree ash catchers are worth it, its alot easier to dump out a little ash catcher than a bong, and your bong will stay clean for quite awhile

i dont bother for an ash catcher u can just change the water but if u can afford it then get one

IMHO I would not get a ROOR. I just bought a Flawless Bubbler and a Knock off of the Toro Mini Circ to Perc. I love them both. I would see if they will let you put water in the piece and check the flow. A Good show will do it to make the sale.

not an expert here, but always buy glass. make sure it "fits" your situation. dont buy a two foot bong if you need to hide it. im getting a mini bong next weekend, because i need to be able to hide it/be portable.

Yea I'd get the a/c, it'll keep your glass cleaner and provide that extra filtration.

I'd recommend checking for things like glass thickness, any cracks in the glass (especially around any percolators or smaller pieces of glass).

I'm not familiar with Medicali, but a good piece is a good piece, and I'm sure you'll be able to find something you like. I have heard good things about them, but I can't give you a firsthand account.

You might want to search the forums a little, or Google around and see some other reviews too. For example, if the reviews say that there is a problem in the way the water fills the chamber, you could ask the guy working in the headshop about this.

Anyways, looks like a nice piece. How much did that run you? It looks like the piece I may get my head shop to blow for me.

The bong was $200 and the ash catcher was $40. I know they're pretty steep prices but I'm happy with it. I got the guy to throw in the rasta bowl for free too, it was marked at $25.
