Anyone else think Quinn may have played a role in the shootings of Lundy and Deb? Angel made a point to say "Quinn was first on the scene". Why would he be first on the scene at 5 am?

He may have been the shooter. He knew to cover it up like the vacation murders. And then he goes down on the reporter bitch who had the scoop on Lundy...Weird

Quinn just seems like a sneaky fuck. If he wasn't the shooter, I think he robbed Deb when he arrived on the scene.

I just want one episode without deb crying... or getting choked up ..just one, or if not that can I just have one old school style dexter show without the new annoying nosey wife in the fucking way. This show is almost at the point where i can't even watch. The first 2 seasons were AWESOME third was ok, and now the 4th and just like my beloved weeds it is slipping HARD.

HOLY SHIT THIS EPISODE WAS FUCKING INTENSE

Fantastic. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time lol. I must admit TK is a lot fucking scarier than Dexter in the way he kills people, he really creeps me out regardless. Amazing acting by Lithgow.

Looking as the best Dexter season so far. And I must agree, Lithgow is a great actor. Always been a fan of his work.

As for what happens next? Well, we're at episode 5 of I presume 12, and already Dexter know who the Trinity Killer is, and where he live. Who knows what will happen. I just know, I'll follow the series religiously

Dexter and Sons of Anarchy is the best series going on at the moment, but as far as intensity goes, Dexter wins hands down.

Awesome episode.

Personally I like Rita, she does add normality. Plus it's been Dexter's choice to be with her, and we all know that whatever Dexter chooses turns up aces.

Can't wait for sunday.

I think Dex isn't doing anything until he figures out WHY Trinity does what he does. Also, he wants tips on how to keep-up a real family appearance, from the master.

Maybe they will become buddies.

THEN he'll kill him.

I felt the same way about Rita last season when a lot of people started to dislike her. I finally cracked in this episode though, she is fucking ridiculous. All Dexter and her ever do is argue now, it's played out.

And don't get me started on Deb. Jesus Christ. I wish they would go back and rewrite last week's episode and have Deb die and Lundy live.

On the bright side, the last ten minutes were great and set up next week's episode to be great.

I wanted to bump this thread up for the new episode from last night.

It wasn't as exciting or fast-paced as last week's episode but I think it set us up well for the second half of the season.

One thing I'm sort of confused about - is it implied that Arthur (I would rather call him "Trinity") killed his mom and dad after his sister was murdered? Or did all these tragedies happen to him, and then he turned into a serial killer? I didn't understand that. Why is he so attached to his sister's ashes, but his mom & dad's are nowhere to be found? I'm sure this will be explained in the future, but it kind of confused me at first.
Also, I'm glad that Rita is finally giving Dexter "space". I was tired of having Rita crying in every scene the last couple episodes. That was getting a bit dull.

The one disappointment I have with the series right now is the LaGuerta/Angel relationship. That storyline just seems it's going nowhere and we've already seen it before. It sort of interrupts the momentum of the show.

Oh, well. I can't wait till next week!

I agree with the LaGuerta/Angel relationship thing, seemed like filler fluff for maybe a stretched writing team? The season seems to be progressing so much more slowly this season than any other IMO.

How did someone as emotionally crippled as debb make it as a cop..let alone a detective. She is 85 lbs of tears, and is so shaky(voice especially) during every line its really hard to watch. I think her character has potential, but man the writing for her character/directing is so annoying...or maybe its just the actress(doubt it).

When I only get to see a show once a week and it's an hour long, I want it to build up and deliver in one episode..Not take half the season to build up then another half to deliver. Like the first seasons of dexter..it was delivery..delivery...delivery and I was HOOKED. I bet if the same type of fluidity of season 4 is how they started season 1..the show would not have made it. I feel like they are taking advantage of an already hooked audience..but that can only last so long.

About the whole trinity thing, my gut feeling is it was a fluke tragedy that spawned a serial killer. Just like dexter..and it seems the focus is the comparison between dexter and trinity.

I think Trinity is suspicious of Dexter after him picking up the ashes and hanging around so much. If Trinity did shoot Lundy and Deb and he looks into her any further, she could lead him straight to who he thinks is "Kyle Butler" and he could connect him to Dexter the Forensics geek which would make for a very fucking interesting episode.

Have any of you read the books? You'll learn more about the Dark Passenger if you do. For me it made the show far more enjoyable.

The aspect I liked most about this show is Michael C Hall playing Dexter after playing David in 6ft Under. I think MCH is a far better actor than much of the current 'talent'.

Anyway, the show is fucking awesome and that is what counts
