She asks a "general practioner" about the effects of smoking cannabis. The lady lists ONLY the negative effects. Its total bullshit, she says : the psychological effects normally are, you get short term memory loss, reduced coordination and motor functions (you may fall down), you may get some paranoia which can lead to scizophrenia, you can get depressed with it, it can cause deep sleep disturbance even nightmares. Physically it effects blood pressure, increased heart rate that can lead to chest pain.

What a deceptive bitch. Why the fuck would people smoke it if it only did harmful shit. Thats right, they wouldn't and it doesn't so we continue to toke.

yeah, it was on BBC3. The woman who is involved in the documentary is actually a really open woman and I respect her for that as she has like 2/3 kids and is a very talented reporter. I saw her last year when I was in highschool as she got the same train as me going into hagley (my old highschool).
I actually watched her doc. the week before me and 3 friends went to the .dam for the 3rd time and visited the 2 places she recorded in her doc.
honestly, i think she reported on it extremley professionaly (even though it was done through the eyes of the BBC) and provided the level headed approach to weed with facts that the majority of us WISH we could forward to our parents/minders as to give a respected approach to the drug.
Never the less, I've heard from numerous parents of my friends that she shouldn't of "lowered herself to that position", which is a sad thing.. but I can't change their mind or attitudes, as is the state of the majoirty of people these days.
It was a good half hour despite that, my favourite being when she had pure THC injected into her resulting in pure "giggle fits" for like 10 minutes haha, many barrells of love to you all coming from England, Nottingham x

(they should have done a side by side comparison of a regular smoker with the same body weight smoking the same amount of that weed to show the difference in tolerance to cannabis)

I dont know how it is where you live, but in oregon if you ask a dealer for dope you get heroin. It realeases dopamine in the brain, while cannabis does not.

also, i'm sorry to get back into this... but back onto the note of the BBC throwing it's weight around, just notice that after she says "after around 20-25 puffs I'm starting to notice it" the music becomes dark and overboading, I hate that they can do this so freely just because they have so much political weight to throw around!!!!! the average voice will never be heard and in England I'm willing to bet that even 100 years from now we'll still be looked down on as scum of society.
I'm getting agrivated even now as there as so many people who can't handle their drink and get into fights/knife fights around the country, yet the media seems to find a way to pigeon hole the majority of people that like a toke into the cattegory of car sterio stealing, baby snatching potheads!
sometimes i trully destest this country, angry vent over!

I know better than to go off on an anti-establishment rant, so I won't. What I will mention is that I have yet to see an impartial - and no, by that I do not mean pro-cannabis - programme by the BBC on the subject. Quite a disappointment.

I've had a similar experience with Frank, the government's drug information organisation. When there was word of contaminated cannabis on a large scale being reported by smokers and bodies such as the LCA it took months for Frank to mention anything about it. When you account for the fact that many young people (16+) might visit Frank for genuine information, it's disgusting that they ignored the problem when they could have alerted thousands of people to the potential harm present.

When I contacted them, as I'm sure many did, I was informed that as Cannabis was a harmful substance, any apparent mitigation of that fact even in the context of public health was deemed tantamount to endorsing drug use. It's akin to the apathy of the US government during Alcohol prohibition to reports of people dying from excessive consumption of poorly distilled liquor.

What kind of message is that?

'Well, tough luck buddy it's illegal. You shouldn't be doing it in the first place.'

I thought it was funny. My favorite part is when she goes to the hemp museum and starts laughing at the picture of the little hamsters with hats on.

Its a shitty term that makes us sound stupid because of the name given to something we love to use. Also Im sure it wasnt intentional but it sounds like you are comparing us to crack smokers. Also, there are all these studies about weed, when can I get paid to blaze?!

I love how in the 2 threads there are on this NO ONE NOT A SINGLE ONE OF YOU mention the OTHER GUY MAN DOCTOR whom SHOWS A 22yr olds LUNG and says it collapsed cuz of marijuana use. So someone talk about that and let me know if it's true or not. Can marijuana actually kill my lungs and make them colapase cuz i been smokin nothin' but 2.5 blunts for over 2 years now and know that can't be good.
And if i eat maryjane at all times would that be fine and my lungs be A-1?

I was actually wondering that too. I mean, look at the inside of any piece you've ever owned. Absolutely caked with resin. So cant i assume my lungs are worse?
