Re: Hurricane Bong Or Roor?

ROOR.

can't put a price on quality. I have a roor and with everyday use, switching bong waters, with the wear and tear the glass takes roor withstands well.

Re: Hurricane Bong Or Roor?

I've always thought the Hurricanes looked nice and i've seen them in person. very high quality. In no way am i saying ROOR is not a good bong but, i'm sure everyone knows your mainly paying for the name, and untill i see a video of someone kicking a roor across a room like they did a hurricane. I would take the hurricane.

Re: Hurricane Bong Or Roor?

Tsunamis are not knockoff Hurricanes like the "Tornadoes" and Bushmaster Cyclone. Tsunamis are the American made version of a Hurricane, like Roor US.

Hurricanes are only made in Austria, using stress free boro-silicate glass called Schott glass. Hurricane has a hard time importing to the US because of our drug laws. So they issued only about 5 licenses in the US to produce hurricanes. From what I've heard, Tsunami is a bunch of glass blowers in Arizona who have the licenses and are making them.

Tsunami is identical to hurricane, they import the same Schott glass, blow them the same way, and also use the same technique to form the air jets. From what I've heard each jet has to be laser cut at precise angles to create the best vortex and each jet is pretty expensive. Thats why the 3-jet model is usually less than a 6-jet.

I just bought a 1000cc six jet golden window/frosted topgrip Tsunami and its the smoothest toke around. It takes a little getting used to since you're drawing outside air into the hit but as long as you don't put too much water in, it will milk up thick even with the added air.

I've never gotten hits out of anything like this bong. The best part is that a hurricane retails for 350 for a 750cc clear model. I got a 1000cc gold/frosted Tsunami that listed for $350 for $259. Our new headshop owners are awesome at cutting deals.

Here is a vid of my Tsunami Setup. It is the smoothest bong I've hit out of hands down.

Re: Hurricane Bong Or Roor?

and one more thing a tsunami and a hurricane are the same thing only one is clear and one is frosted so if someone says that one or the other is better they ARE WRONG and trying to fill your head with bullshit and trying to get you to pay more for something that is actually lower in price

Re: hurricanes are so sick

I have no idea why everyone is siding with the Roor. I would undoubtedly go with the hurricane.
A roor is just like any other bong, even if it is made nicer, you'd never be able to tell the difference between smoking a roor or a no-name straight tube.
A hurricane is a totally different smoking experience. Spinning smoke, tar getting whipped against the sides, ashcatcher standard. That seems like an infinitely better idea. Plus the durability of the Hurricane, not one company out there can compare to Hurricane in this field.
I personally just bought a 9mm illadelph beaker bong and I wish I would have bought a hurricane instead.

Chemical Re: Hurricane Bong Or Roor?

I disagree although the roor is a great bong i think Hurricane makes a better piece. The way the smoke flows through the air jets and swirls looks cool and has major health benefits.

The presence of a carb alone is enough to turn me off of any hurricane.

But you do realize that if the water is doing its job, there should be no particles large enough to be "spun" out of the smoke? What makes these bongs smooth is that the smoke is more diluted because of these "jets"....well if you're stupid enough to want these jets, take a glass drill to a bong WITHOUT a carb.... Or you could just inhale through your nose at a controlled rate, if you need air...

Not that these look badly made, but in my opinion they're ugly, overpriced, and gimmicky.
