[High Res/Macro] Sour OG aka Headband [SD x OGK]

Here's a bit of my recent harvest of Headband. Really nice high, excellent smell/taste - mostly lemon, but has an undertone of something I can't really put a name to. Takes about 10-15minutes to really kick in, but it hits ya pretty good after that.

Not quite as trich'd out as my last harvest of Northern Light Blue, and a tad less potent, however the high is very enjoyable and doesn't have much of a ceiling so ya just got to smoke a little more (for reference, the NLB was very strong and I only needed one hit of that to get high).

This was a more sativa-dominant phenotype - I would have kept the mother around, however these were feminized seeds and unfortunately had a tendency to sprout a few hermies at the end of flower (you can see a couple in the pics), so I ended up tossing the mom.

The smell/taste really stood out to me on this one. It's definitely a great smoke.

That was just a quick review - the two were grown with practically the same nutrients and environment so the differences I pointed out were more related to their genetics than how they were grown.

ive got a question for u.....my plant is nearing harvest...i notice alot of ur stigmas are still white...

how did you determine the "best" time to chop her down???

im feeling im getting close...as the trichs are capitated stalked and SOME are milky color....

i know some say 70-90% of pistils turn amber n wither ur usually good, but inspecting the trichs ive heard is MORE important for potency....nice bud...i LOVVVVVVVE headband....i have green crack growing now...similar if i recall...

o im also experiencing ONE bud that seemed to hermie....scared me, but im good

if u dont mind i can post closeup of a cola if you can help me a bit

There aren't too many whites ones, but the majority of them are a lighter color so under the light they look more white. However, you should be going by your trichomes rather than the pistils.

It all comes down to preference. The majority of mine are cloudy, but if you look in the closeup macro you can see some amber in there. For my plants... whenever I think they looks ready, I then wait another week - always comes out better. Patience is very important with growing, I was inpatient when I first started, but nowadays I just let the plants do their thing.

I hope ya have an excellent harvest, man. Green Crack is something I've always wanted to try as well.
