You dont have to convince me, I already made the agrument. Its definitely true, he just doesnt have that killer instinct or the urge to be a superstar, he seems satisified with how he plays. Again, you cant take anything away from him because he still is a great player. But he definitely had the skill set and potential to be one of the greatest. Just lacked the mental toughness of a true champion and competitor.

He sure in hell is something special. I really would be suprised if the Cavs lost this series against Washington. The next round will be interesting though, the thing about the Cavs is that they defend and rebound well enough to contend with anyone.
Is anyone ready to give the Spurs some respect yet? |

Dam kobe was nice last night. Lakers looking good, hope we can keep the intensity up.

I still think there won't be any upsets in the first round (seedwise).
Nobody is capable of coming back from 2-0 in my opinion, and the Cavs should beat the Wiz and the Magic should beat the Raptors, I think. After that, I'm gonna go with celtics over wiz and pistons over magic, then Celtics advance to the Finals (my team). In the west I see Lakes over Utah but that's a fantastic series and I don't think the Hornets can beat the Spurs..they're doing great against the Mavs but in the playoffs, Duncan/Parker/Ginobili are just too good. I also think LA advances over Spurs and the NBA and the networks get the Finals they want. I have no clue who wins...but it does go to 7 games.

Cavs played like absolute shit tonight, I expect much better sunday. They didnt do anything well. They turned the ball over far too many times. couldnt hit open shots. and couldnt rebound well enough to even keep it close. Maybe LeBron will get some help sunday in game 4

lol @ the hornets. call me a hater but I dont think they are that great. and dont use Dallas as a reason. That was the biggest flaw of Dallas entering the playoffs is beating teams above .500 and Dallas hasnt been very good since adding Jason Kidd
since when was it the in thing to trade a bunch of star prospects for washed up allstars? Its supposed to work the other way around. |

You trade future talent for playoff experience (washed up all stars) if you want a championship NOW....although I would hardly call Jason Kidd "washed up". PHX had to bring shaq on board...you just cant turn away a big man like that if you have the chance to snatch it up, even if he is nearing the end of his career. The value of a 7 ft 300lb center in the playoffs with championship rings and playoff experience is just too good to pass up. The hornets are for real, you cant deny that. They've kept their spot near the top of the WC for the entire season...not an easy thing to do. Its not like they're just playing well as of late, they've done it all season and continue to do it in the post season. They may not be a "great" team in the sense of star power, but they play hard as a unit and play together very well. They certainly have a good chance of making it to the finals if they can avoid injuries to their key players. Just keep in mind that the west is stacked and you dont stay near the top of the west if you arent legit. On the other side, Detroit can beat Boston in a 7 game series....in fact they likely will. You've seen what happens when they play teams that they feel arent quite on their level (ie philly), they fall asleep. They will be ready for Boston and you can bet your ass they wont be sleeping. Either way that would be one hell of a ECF...probably go down as one of the greatest series in playoff history by the time its all said and done. Theres just too much at stake for both teams for it to play out any other way.

man fuck jason kidd and shaq. they were both good maybe 3 years ago but I dont see it panning out for either team. Im 80% sure both will be eliminated in the 1st round.
Kidd is extremely overrated. I wouldnt have put him on my team over Devin Harris. Harris was a hard nose defender and had the chemistry to fit in with Dallas. |
