McGrady isnt a good player, hes a great player. Sometimes he just doesnt play with his killer instinct. He will settle for contested jump shots and become too passive with the ball. McGrady is at his best when he takes the ball to the hoop.

Houston definitely has the ability to make it a good series.

New Orleans and Utah are just two teams I cant buy into. They are well coached but not as talented all around as some of the other teams. I could easily see Dallas beating New Orleans in 5-6. I dont think they will get a clean sweep.

The "respect" the Spurs get is linked to their past history, not what they have done this year. They have not played their best basketball going into the playoffs. What do people like of THIS Spurs team NOW? Point something out please besides Manu. I never said they wouldn't give the Suns a series and I'm not saying they can't win the series. But for people to say that they are going to win it all just because, "Well, they are the Spurs and look at their history," boggles my mind. Someone point to something concrete with THIS team.

Spurs have a lot of proven playoff players besides Manu. What about Tim Duncan? Tony Parker? Robert Horray, Bruce Bowen. Trust me, the spurs will be ready for these games. Id be suprised if the Suns win the series. Although Amare is fucking sick, I dont know how he wasnt atleast in the MVP talk.

Robert Horry will not be playing in the first couple games which is sad since he makes key shots to help the spurs boost past. The spurs have been in a slump going into the playoffs winning only 3 of 4 however they were without Manu. Defensively, not one team in the west has been more consistent than the spurs (Celtics being the top in my eyes in defense). What people don't realize about the spurs is that they know how to win playoff games. They have several tricks in the bag that help them overcome teams. Pay attention to whomever guards duncan (most likely Amare) as Duncan gets a lot of calls in his favor during the playoffs. IF, and thats a BIG IF, Amare and Shaq can stay out of foul trouble, the suns have a chance to walk away from the series as victors... i still pick the spurs

One thing i want to point out to all the overhyped cavs fans it that Cleveland has been a sub par 500 team since the trade. Their bench is not that great. Lebron is not overrated, he is quite possible the best player in the game right now, but he cannot carry his team forever. That's where the wizards have the advantage, they are the dark horse and i would like to see an upset. I picked the Cavs to win but bet on the Wizards to take the series just cause i like the odds here and i have some kind of feeling that the nba may be shocked.

Amare has guarded Duncan in the past with no success. That is why they brought Shaq. Not sure why you think Amare is still gonna guard Duncan on a consistent basis.

Trust me? Haha, that's like saying IT'S A LOCK. Thanks.

You once again went with the old Spurs saying of defense and what they have done in the past and their history. You did not point to anything from this year. They did awful against the top competition. To "trust" they will flip the switch in the playoffs is quite the BOLD prediction. LMAO.

They didn't bring shaq for the sole purpose of guarding duncan.. he was brought to stop duncan. the suns didn't have big bodies to throw at duncan and you will see shaq get into foul trouble early and thats where amare will be on duncan in the late game as long as he stays out of foul trouble himself.

The matchup between who guards duncan really depends who is in the game for the spurs. omberto and thomas are centers whereas duncan plays more a power forward role when these two are in the game. Don't be surprised if shaq lines up with spurs centers and duncan gets stuck on amare.

i'm not sure where you are getting your numbers from but the spurs were not horrible this seasons.. in fact they have better conference and home records than the suns which gives them a slight advantage going in with home court. the suns never lead the west. between my two fav teams in the nba.. i say spurs in game 7.

I'm a little late on this, but I will choose:

East - Boston, Washington (despite being down 1-0), Detroit and Orlando
West - Lakers, Mavericks, Spurs and Utah
