I think we are going to see some big numbers this year from the big bats, I remember the start of last year, it was cold everywhere & some of the big hitters werent doing anything until a couple months into the season.

Sox look like they are rolling pretty good, Yanks will be lucky to be able to hang with'em throughout the season, what if Baltimore is.............nah, never mind.

Yeah, as a Yankee fan I'm a little concerned about the furture, at least George knew a thing or two about baseball, I dont know about Hank...he worries me.

the yanks will be there in the end imo. Untill they don't make the playoffs i'll just assume they will LOL.

I donno about hank either.. he has an awfully big mouth for someone who hasn't won anything on his own. At least george backed his talk up with dominant teams and championships..

what kills me the most about hank is that he was the one who told the fans that they'll have to be patient with the young players this year, meanwhile he's showing more impatience than anyone by saying that Joba should be in the rotation ASAP. If that happens then he breaks up the best 8&9th inning combo in baseball.

How bout them cubbies. picked up their 10,000th franchise win. 2nd only to the San Francisco Giants. they are 9-1 in their last 10 games. and 15-6 and in 1st place. Could this finally be the year!?!

even being a Cubs diehard im a little worried about our starting pitching down the stretch but I think we have the offense to do the job, as long as we can keep healthy. Hell we are still without Soriano.

Yeah, the Cubs look pretty strong. I dont know what the deal is with Soriano...dude needs a good physical fitness trainer or something, he could be dangerous if he stayed healthy all season. I gotta believe they are thinking WS this year, I have only seen Zambrano pitch so far...& he was pretty much lights out, I havent seen what the other pitchers have this year. I think they have a combination of good pitchers / big bats & of course sweet Lou, could be the year.

I really hope so. Soriano should be back in the next week or so. We have solid pitching im just worried about Dempster and Lilly at the bottom but Kerry Wood has been fucking sick in the closer spot. That was a great move by Lou.

Go Cubs!

you'll hate me but I think they are in the same situation as the Yankees. They have young, unproven pitching at the bottom of the rotation and could struggle in the playoffs. I feel no better with Lester and Bucholtz than I would with Phil Hughes, Ian Kennedy, and Joba Chamerberlain.

They definitely have the offense to win games though.

i think theur offense will be better this year than last. jacoby & pedroia starting out from day one, drew, crisp, lugo should all have better years. Papi is heating up bigtime, and manny is being manny earlier than usual.

If hansen and delcarmen could get it straight this team should win a shit load of games this year.

Yea, it had to come sooner or later, he's looking pretty strong though.

Your right about the Red Sox young bats, in fact I was looking at the sports section this morning & notice the top 3 batters were all Red Sox...damn it man!

i don't think you'll see many days like that out of Joba.. he seems like he's the real deal for sure.
it's early and all, but i really like the balance of this Sox offense so far this season. this Jacoby Elsbury is no joke. in 1 game the kid hits 2 HR's gets a bunt base hit and scores from first on a linedrive to left in fenway... pretty insane shit.
as we know with a long baseball season, this can all change really fast lol.

Okay...who else saw Manny Ramirez catch a fly ball, jump off the wall to high five a fan, turn around and double up Aubrey Huff at first!?

This dude is a legend...I think his number should be be retired in Boston
