yeah they put up an old school looking coke sign above the stands in left.. it looks like it's been there 100 years... pretty cool.
I liked watching manny hit those coke bottles though. It's weird w/o them.

gonna catch another game in June on a sunday after a Saturday night Phil show in BOS! That's gonna be a killer weekend.

Welp, the Sox won tonight and took 2 out of 3 from the Yankees

Did any of you guys read about the construction worker that buried an Ortiz jersey in the cement foundation of the new Yankee Stadium to jinx them? I guess the Yankee brass found out about it and they jackhammered it out, but damn that's hilarious.

He didnt really think it through, if your gonna do it...use a Schilling jersey, they would have had to blow it up & start over. Heck, I can live with an Oritz jersey...shit, "Big Papi" hell yeah...should have left it there for good luck.

I'm happy with taking one of those games at Fenway. Manny's going to need to keep picking up Ortiz, big papi is hurting...thats a pretty big bat missing.

Well, the Mariners took 2 out of 3 from the angels. The bad news is their lack of a bullpen and the loss of putz and bedard, the new "ace" of the staff. It's getting silly. At least the bats are doing well enough to give the closer a nice cushion lately.

We'll see how it goes, but the bullpen issue is number one concern right now

really? they're going to sue him for it? that's some bullshit man.. I don't care if you're a yankee fan or otherwise.. stuff like this shows the passion people have for the sport. They found it and removed it, live and let live. I don't care if they had to break through concrete to get to it and now it's gonna cost them to get it repaired, that was their choice. It's not like a baseball jersey is affecting the structural integrity of the stadium.

Some Yankee's fans are upset about it, I thought it was great...now if we can just find a fan that is as creative as that guy we can get'em back. I heard the guy talking on the news about it, they asked him why he hated the Yankee's so much... as hard as he tried, he could hardly explain his hate in words...basicly he did it for the Red Sox nation.
The reason they had to remove the Jersey was because over time that material will root away, leaving a void in the concrete, potentialy causing a collapse..............................is what you will hear from the quality controll representative for the project.

I want to hear to cost of removing it, you know there were big money supervisors watching, & a couple big bosses pointing around, plus the labor. This story will be revisited many times, everytime the Sox come to town.

People talk shit about sports & thier team, but for somebody to take on a job, & to carry out thier plan of attack & follow through for the team they love against a team they hate, well.....thats a true fan right there, I gotta give it up to him. If your a true sports fan you can see the good in this. First off, I'm a baseball fan, a Yankee fan yes...but I love the sport in general.

Its not Manny that kills us...its that damn Becket, Yanks just cant get past that guy. Yeah LOL, Manny kinda kills us too lol.
If Manny keeps hitting like that & Big Papi's bat comes around its going to be trouble for everybody else...shit!

How about the Rockies & Padres lastnight, 22 innings - 6hrs 16minutes - each team went through 21 batters - Rockies used a total of 8 pitchers.

Maybe if Fielder put down the bean sprouts and soy and picked up a steak he might just remember how to hit homeruns. He's a big boy, what's he supposed to do, eat 40 pounds of rice everyday?

That Yanks Sox slugfest sure was fun as hell to watch, except watching Moose pitch is getting more and more painful not only every year but I think every start. If he can't remaster his control, he will not get past American League hitters with a mislocated 86 mph fastball and 70 mph change out of the strikezone.

Robbie is finally starting to hit, Bobby is sick, the Melkman looks great, hell even Moeller has been looking like a solid starting catcher. Did anyone see A-Rods bomb the other day. That guy can hit homeruns like I don't think anyone else in baseball can.

I dont think Fielders diet is what is causing this slump. I think its just him getting off to a slow start. Just like Robinson Cano. There are some players who will start hot and then go cold. and others will start cold and get hot. I think Fielder will be just fine. After all, hes still a big motherfucker even on his vegan diet.
