X-Box 360:
Pros: A lot better game selection than the ps3. A lot cheaper than the PS3 Xbox Live is just sooo much better than the ps3's online. It is just set up a lot better and Microsoft put in a lot more time in it. And honestly, that is the bottom line Xbox Live is THEEEEEE shit. Cons: Tends to break down alot (although I do think they are improved now and do that less) Not quite as good of graphics as the ps3, but pretty close. PS3 Pros: Amazing graphics (bluray) Cons:> Poor online gaming. Very expensive. Not as good of a game selection but still good. Bottom Line: In my opinion, the Xbox 360 tops the PS3 in a long shot. They are both very fun but the Xbox 360 is just better develeloped than the PS3. Edit:Total unbiased by the way, as I own both systems. |

heh heh my brother had a PS3...HAD...for like a month, then traded it in for half price and bought a 360.
he says it was because of the games, look on a schedule of up coming games, there are no good ps3 exclusives coming out anytime soon. |

PS3 graphics are insignificant if you don't have an HDTV. If you do, and you enjoy watching HD-DVDs; PS3's Blu-Ray beats the Xbox's HD-DVD with a stick. It ain't even close.
Blu-Ray is the way of the future for home movies. Sony owns, are has a stake in, most production houses and they will dictate the format of future releases. In 10 years a HD-DVD will be harder to find than BETA. Now, a Blu-Ray player will set you back over a grand, but that player is built in to the PS3. To watch HD movies on the X-box you must buy a separate player attachment and it will only play HD-DVD. Cost wise it is about the same for comparable equipment. The X-box may seem less, but after you buy the 120G Harddrive, HD-DVD player, HDMI cord, and wireless controllers you will end up spending the same as a PS3 that comes with all that. When it comes to games, X-box does have a bigger selection. Hell, HALO 3 makes the system worth the price of admission. Microsoft has been buying up software developers and exclusivity contracts ever since X-box1 came out. More importantly the X-box360 was released 20 months before the PS3, so they have a headstart. But know, Sony is expected to lose billions of dollars over the next four years on the PS3. They made this investment under the guise that over time they will corner the console gaming market like they did with the PS1. I doubt the guys at Sony plan on lagging behind in software for long. Underestimate Sony at your peril The games out now don't use even a fraction of the PS3's processor power.I have both, and I would say the PS3 is better. Both systems have their 'facepalm' moments online, but at least the PS3 is free, X-box requires about $12 amonth for online service. But the true 1080i Blu-Ray movies tip the scale for me. This is really a "chevy v ford" debate. You can't really go wrong either way. But whatever system you buy, GET THE COOLING FANS!!! These buggers get hot, my brother fried his X-box, got a PS3, and fried it within a week.

i have both consoles and i would definitely say i am more satisfied with the 360. I really enjoy the achievements and how they are available for any game. It's like giving a little extra more to do in the game, or rather, small hunts. PS3 all I really want from it is the new killzone. cant wait for that.

360. it seems to be a near unanamious choice.
the only downfall as someone pointed out, is that the PS3 has a blue-ray disc player built in. and the 360 is HD-DVD, but who cares, I dont use my console for playing movies anyways. |

for guy above speaking about xbox hd dvd, theyve already discontinued the 360 hd dvd player, they are dirt cheap brand new right now, because toshiba is not making hd dvd players anymore--which means no more hd dvds, although lately ive seen some movies releasing hd dvds, but regardless, hd dvds are already done for. there was an article on yahoo about this a week or two ago
IMPORTANT: Microsoft has discontinued production of HD DVD players. From this time forward, availability of HD DVD content will be limited and subject to studio availability; for more information consumers may contact those 3rd party content providers directly. The Xbox 360 HD DVD player is covered under the standard Microsoft return policy look on xbox 360.com, HDDVD players are 50$ now, thats like 120$ cheaper than before Last edited by poodog313 : 03-22-2008 at 04:50 AM. |

Honestly, as an Xbox 360 owner I say you should go PS3. It costs more but it's got alot of the same games as 360 but it at also has Gran Turismo 5 which I really, really want. It is also a blu-ray player which comes in handy if you do ever decide to get an HD TV.
If you don't wanna spend the money the 360 is still good though. Xbox live is very nice as well
