Just remember what i said back before the tourney started. Memphis vs. UNC with Memphis winning it all. Memphis whopped on Texas who whopped on Stanford. And they did it in Houston, Texas. Memphis is going to beat UCLA for sure.

I dont see Kansas beating UNC, they just dont have the post play that UNC does. Memphis will actually be able to match up and play UCLA. Dosier and Dorsey will be able to rotate on Love and Douglas- Roberts and Rose on Collison. I dont see UCLA beating Memphis unless Memphis has an awful game.

for UNC. Kansas is playing lock down defense and playing like they want to win. UNC is hoping to win based on being the most talented team. Im sure UNC will settle down and make a run but Kansas is killing them right now.

Seems you are a little one-sided. one paper UNC is much better than Kansas. They have more post players than UNC but not better quality. Kansas had the luxury of being able to play 4 different guys on Hansbourough. Hats off to Kansas they played a great game but UNC just got outcoached and out hustled. I dont think Kansas was the more talented individual players. but thats my opinion
I still like Memphis to win it, they are very similar to Kansas but with better and bigger athletes. I dont think a single starter on Memphis is under 6'6'' including Derek Rose and Douglas- Roberts. Memphis has a pair of big men in Dosier and Dorsey. Its going to be a great game. But I like Memphis. As I have since day 1 of this thread. |

Kansas's big men of note: Darrell Arthur 6'9" 230 Sasha Kahn 6'11" 245 Darnell Jackson 6'8" 250 Cole Aldrich 6'11" 245 UNC's big men of note: Tyler Hansbrough 6'9" 245 Deon Thompson 6'8" 240 Alex Stevenson 6'9" 245 Of the players listed, Kansas has two locks for the first round of the draft, while UNC depends on Hansbrough exclusively. He might get all the hype in the world, but he's still not going to be an impact player in the NBA. Kansas is much deeper on the interior, rotating players to keep everyone fresh, while UNC relies on Hansbrough to get the job done without much help from DT or AS. UNC's style of play allowed them to hide their shortcomings on the interior against teams with less talent. The first team they played with comparable talent was Kansas, and we all saw what happened. Don't get me wrong--UNC has excellent players. I think it's more than obvious that both Memphis and Kansas outclassed them as far as talent is concerned this year, though. Memphis = Most Talent Overall Kansas = Most Talented Rotation Consider this: If you're an NBA GM and you have to choose players from Memphis, Kansas, or UNC, how far down the list would you be before choosing the first from Roy's squad? From Memphis: Rose CDR Dorsey Dozier From Kansas: Arthur Rush Chalmers At the very least, the first player on my list from UNC would be the #8 pick. That, my friend, is a talent discrepency. ESPN can hype UNC and the ACC all they want, but it won't change the truth of the matter. Monday's game will be the best possible matchup because it features the two most talented teams in the nation, and I'm fired up about watching it.

I dont get your point? thats what I said, UNC was the more talented individual players, not a more talented team. And Arthur isnt good hes extremely overrated, he wont go in the first 3 rounds of the NBA draft.
I could care less though, its apples and oranges and fuck UNC anyways. Memphis is where its at. |

Arthur will be a first round pick. I would bet money on it, and I'm not a gambler. You're definitely right, though-Memphis is where it's at. Kansas will put up as good a fight as anyone could hope, though. It's not often that we see the two most talented teams in the nation in the championship game, but that's exactly what's happening this year. ![]()

ahh what a bad loss for the heels...it killed me to watch that garbage...they got off to such a slow start, even came back within 4 to give it away at the end. they were too tired from the comeback, and you could tell. i think unc wins a 7 game series but this is the big dance for ya.
i'm going with memphis to win the nat'l championship tomorrow...but it got me thinking, for yall who pickin the tigers as well... down 1 with 5 seconds left, who do you want to have the last shot? CDR or D-Rose?
