God of War 3

Has anyone played God of War 1 or 2 for PS2? Both are awesome games and I'm even more excited for God of War 3 to show on PS3! It has been confirmed that its coming out but idk when... The first two games had some of the best graphics on PS2 and I'm expecting GOW3 to have some of the best graphics yet seen this gen. This time around, more people will be playing on big screen HD televisions. Can you imagine Kratos in 1080p and 60 fps?!?! The scale of the levels should be even more massively epic and gigantic than before. The Mount Olympus invasion needs to be a completely epic ethereal mind fuck. I don't care if the director has to get on Acid, I just want it to be an unparalleled vision of complete warfare in Heaven with crazy beautiful vistas that don't look like anything I've seen before. And I don't want to just see Titans destroying stuff off in the distance, involve me in it! But no giant Kratos please... Also i want to be able to rip heads off with the Sixaxis... If all this comes true then playing this game baked will be so epic and awesome!

i never played it myself but i spent countless hours getting baked and WATCHING someone play and beat the first one and is currently still working on the second one. i love watching that game, its so entertaining and yes, he will only be buying the ps3 -just- for GOW3. Its that good.

YES! I love this fucking franchise! I'm already over hyperrealistic squad based shooters. It's about time we get an "epic ethereal mind fuck." GOW I and II both released around march; I'm thinking we'll start seeing videos and whatnot pretty soon and I'm guessing for a spring 09 release for the greatest game of this generation. I too will pick up a PS3 when this game drops.

i haven't played 2 but i was obsessed with 1...amazing game and I love mythology so it was just a lot of greatness packed into one...i gotta get up to speed with these games...i didn't even know 3 was coming out but that makes me pretty happy

I just ordered God of War: Chains of Olympus online, so that should be coming in a few days. I'll post my verdict on it once i beat it. For those of you who don't know, it is just god of war on PSP, but the graphics are identical to the ps2 god of war games...

i played the 4 that are out God of War 1, 2, Betrayal, and Chains Of Olympus... all r rly good, the 5th one for ps3 is gunna end the story and ofcourse be crazy

Played em both and loved em. I am SO fucking mad that GOW3 is only gonna be on PS3.

I just finished God of War: Chains of Olympus for PSP. It was good. The graphics are just as good as the PS2 games. It still had that epic feel with big landscapes, but i don't think the landscapes were quite as big and epic as the PS2 ones. One bad thing is that it was really short. I beat it in a few days, without playing constantly. And i was baked the whole game, and it still seemed short! And the enemies weren't very different, its just a lot of the same. But all in all it was really fun, and i recommend it....

Also, play it with headphones. It sounded great on my Bose headphones...
