New PS3.. but wheres the games?
Hey,

So an old "friend" called me up yesterday. He happens to have owed me $100+ for the past two years, but thats irrelevant really. Anyway, he called me up and asked if I wanted to buy his 80 GB PS3 for $300 off him.

He'd been out of a job for a few months, and his girlfriend was supposed to have her baby the the next day (well, today now) so he needed the cash. Of course, I snatched that shit right up! I'd been wanting to get one lately anyway, but the ones at wal mart are only 40 GB for $400.

It's only 2 months old, and is still niiiiiice. And my friends say karma is bullshit. heheh.

He threw in 5 shitty ass PS2 games, but I went and picked up Assassin's Creed last night. From what I am seeing, there really are no good games for this system. Considering I despise all forms of sports games, looks like my only next choice is Ninja Gaiden. Anyone know of any good games coming out for this shit? I'm hoping wal-mart just didnt have the whole PS3 gaming catalogue, and theres some bad-ass games I just havent heard about yet.

Im looking into getting a PS3, but strictly for Blu-Ray movies, I don't give a shit about their games..maybe just COD4.

The PS3 has some good games, just not a lot of them. Resistance: Fall of man is pretty bad ass.

yea, if you wanted amazing games 360 all day every day, but for that price you got a hell of a blu-ray player haha (even though most companies gave blu-ray the finger).

I love my PS3, the multimedia capabilities and graphics are awesome, not to mention the free online gaming. It does lack quality games, however there are more games being developed and released almost a monthly basis. It is also now doing better in sales than the 360, not to mention the xmb software is updated regularly, with a ton of new features being planned, dualshock 3 is out in april, home is rumored be released soon too. You should look up some games online before you go out and buy them at a store, oh and blu ray, now the only major hd format still in business.

I think I will eventually get a PS3 but for now my 360 is fine... I will definitely buy a PS3 for God of War 3...
