I was never a big football fan, but I do very vaguely remember that because my best friend as a kid was into pretty much all sports. I just liked basketball myself.

I was kind of a tomboy growing up.

Haven't followed basketball in a couple years though.

It's a shame too, I hear the Blazers have gotten quite a bit better since I last tuned in. Man, I got so tired of watching Portland make so many stupid trades though. How many guys has Portland traded in the last 10 years that went on to become awesome players on some other team? Too many by golly!

Portland is going to be sick next year. They are already solid this year, I remember when they were on a 13 game winning streak earlier this season. Once Oden is healthy they will be a force to wrecken with.

Yeah, that's what I've been hearing.

I had to give a chuckle though when they plastered a fuckin like 50' tall Oden Jersey on the front of the Rose Garden, and next thing you know he's out for the whole season.

A little anti-climactic.

Sure they will be a force, but they still are in the Western Conference. It will probably be 2 or 3 seasons before they actually make a push deep into the playoffs.

Considering how they were doing in the years I was following them, just getting to the playoffs is a feat in itself...

It will probably happen next year, although I wouldnt expect Oden to come in and make them a playoff contender within his first year (as many do).

It really depends on how the West plays itself out this year....theres just too much talent over there for their own good. You know its bad when teams like Golden State (43-27) and Denver (43-28) are fighting just to make it into the post season, while over in the East the sixers (just above .500) and hawks (31-40) are nearly a lock.

I agree and disagree. The east doesnt have any locks really. New Jersey, Indiana, and Chicago are all within 3 games of making the playoffs. Whereas the West has 1 team thats even in the hunt, that team being Denver. the next closest team is 6 games back from Denver. and that team is Portland.

Plus I see teams like Dallas and Phoenix getting weaker. Jason Kidd is old as fuck and should retire, that was a dumb trade. Devin Harris was pretty damn good. As was giving away Marion for future law enforcement agent Shaquille Oneil.

The west is great and better than the East, but dont count the east out, they actually play defense on the east coast. Detriot, Boston, and Cleveland all have winning records against western teams. Just to add on, 4 teams out of the 8 current playoff holders give up over 100pts per game on average. None of the teams in the east give up over 100 per game.

Did I just blow your mind? hehe

dallas may be done for the season unless they can keep winning games. at the least the 8th spot finally changed and now denver has moved up although i don't think denver has what it takes to get anywhere in the playoffs, unless martin continues to play his ass off gsw should really be going there.

SAS vs HOU... go SAS!!! battle of teh texans

That battle for the last spot in the West is definitely heating up.

Right now Dallas has the 7 and Denver has the 8, with Golden State being a 1/2 game back. It will definitely be interesting to see how it finishes up. Id rather see Dallas make it than Golden State but it will all depend who can play these next 10 games.

I cant believe Cleveland has now lost 3 in a row and is in danger of slipping to the #5 seed, either way looks like we are destined for a 1st round meeting with Washington again this year.

Fuck yeah, i'm just hoping we make it out of the first round. Living in San Antonio and seeing Spurs stickers all around me pisses me off, I fucking hate the Spurs. When I was at Walmart on de zavala like a month ago I was in line and the cashier scanned the gum from like a foot away and he's like "GINOBLI" and im like "uhh, don't you mean MCGRADY" and he's like "THE ROCKETS SUCK, I USED TO HAVE FAITH IN THEM". Whatever, next year is our year.
