Wow, well guys Good to know we all have had this similar experience, at least we can be scared together .

Im not on any meds at all, The only thing i do is drink and smoke weed. But this "voice" is apparently pretty common in lucid dreamers. My buddy one time confronted the voice and asked his name, and it said "Zorn". Haha, so we always used to joke about, wow, you met Zorn last night, that sucks, what did he do, etc. I've only had the occurence once as well, but that once was scary.

I am getting back into going lucid again as well Dro, and I know what you mean by the difficulty of getting back into it. I think we have somewhat of a mental block because of the traumatizing experiences, but It just takes practice, confidence. . .and not going to bed stoned . Ive found if I go to bed stoned I rarely remember dreams, let alone become lucid. You just have to be constantly thinking about it during your day, looking at the clock a hundred times a day, and then in your dream you'll naturally look at the clock and the numbers will start wandering or it will say something like 45:18 in which point you'll know you're in and good to go.

edit: Oh yeah Maitereya, the fun starts there! Knowing that you are lucid and able to do anything you want is quite a trip, and when you are a guy you have two things on your mind: sex with hot girls and flying. haha. I actually had to learn to fly. It sounds weird, but I would try to fly, and I could not get in the air, and it pissed me off, I would jump but come back to the ground, each time thinking, wtf, I should be able to do whatever I want, this is my stinkin dream. But each time I would try to fly, I would jump a little higher, do some flips or something, and higher, until eventually one day I looked up at the sky and said fuck it, enogh with these acrobatics, lets fuckin fly and stop being a pussy! And away I went. Lucid landscapes while flying are like some crazy LSD trip, I remember I was flying once toward some woods on a cliff, and the entire cliff was a waterfall, I got to the woods and it was something straight out of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, where there were little Elves and Faries all around going about their business, not even surprised I had dropped by. And then yet another time I was flying through these clouds and when I came out of the clouds, I was in this weird Candyland, and I remember looking down and seeing candy canes the size of trees and little christmas gummies and cotton candy all over the place.

use clocks and lightswitches as you drift to sleep

just check for time and on/off every few minutes or seconds I've done it many times with great result once I actually reversed it to some degree dreaming I was in a car just enjoying a drive stoned with a bud when in reality i was doing so

yea i remember when i always used to try and fly and it never worked. once i start having lucid dreams again i will try it. oo yea i have a question. This morning i jjust started a dream log. does tthat help in reaching lucid dreams?

probably

if you try remembering what you've written that day or in general in it in reality then try to recall it in a dream state you may be able to note that the pages are completely different your brain knows its dreaming and can now control it

I used to try and keep a dream log and found that it had absolutely no effect on whether or not I went lucid. The best way to go lucid is to either make a reminder to urself to do something whilst ur sleeping, such as checking the time and turning on/off lights, or telling urslef that u need to ring someone at a certain time in order to trigger looking at a clock. Another way to lucid dream is to wake up in the morning, and make sure that you are fully mentally alert, but your body will still need rest. At this stage some times when you go back to sleep, you will still be conscious, yet you will be asleep as well, this can have some wierd effects though, I remember going to sleep dusing this method trying to lucid dream, and thought that I had been dreaming for hours when in fact it was only 10 minutes or so, or you can just drop into the incubus/ succubus scenario where your fully awake yet you cant move anything. give some of them a try, if they dont work try ketamine

I have lucid dreams all the time, it used to scare the shit out of me untill I really understood what they were.

A few years ago I started having a problem where I would be sleeping then wake up but I wouldn't be able to move my body. My mind would be fully awake, I could here the t.v. in the back ground, or I could here people talking but I couldn't respond or move. If I was allone and the t.v. wasn't on I would start to hallucinate, usually some really scary shit. Most of the time I would think there was some one in the corner staring at me, or that some one was sitting on my chest making it hard to breath. So after this started happening on a nightly basis I decided to have a sleep study done by a psychologist, I was put into a room and monitered while I slept, turn out I have sleep paralysis (sp) bassically when you dream your body becomes paralized to keep from hurting yourself, and when I would wake up durring a dream my body was still paralized(sp)

Once I found out what was causing it, all the scary shit went away. With the help of the psychologist I found a way to controll the hallucinations. Now when it happens I can do anything I want, I have flown around the city, revisted old girlfriends, I've done everthing I've wanted to do in these dreams and all just feels so real. I can literally feel myself lift out my body, there have been many times where I can see myself laying in the bed below me, it's one of the greatest feelings in the world. I recomend every one at least try to learn how to do this.

i never have any dreams.....well at least i never remember any dreams...since they say everyone has dreams
