Ok i have been thinking about this for some time after katrina hit. Is america just a shithole of a place? i mean look how long it took for them to get suplies to new orleans. Imagine if some one attacked us with a nuke or summin. i mean believe me im proud to be an american but is it falling appart? i mean our gov. is fucking gay.. i just want to know if im the only one who thinks this way. It just makes me think alot. And its not evan right how the gov. is treating the situation. I migh not be that much of a political guy but i dont think this is right. Am i the only one?

its good that all this has got you thinking...too many people in this country are ignorant to the shit that america does to its own citizens, not to mention its foreign policy. WAY too many people just choose not to think about our government, and dont vote...as long as people like you out there start using your own brain, i think we can be saved.

I think you're suffering from "the grass is always greener" syndrome...

Because sure, there are plenty of places in the world that are just as nice to live in, and some that are better, but there are a *lot* more that are worse.

And as far as the decline of America goes, once again, read into history. Blacks were oppressed, women were oppressed, gays were oppressed, everyone but the white man was oppressed at some point in our history. If anything we are becomeing more free. Sure, there are some things we are less free in, for example, invasion of privacy. Everyone used to be really distrustful of federal gov't but not so much anymore. But lets put it this way, if I had to live at any point in our nations history, it would be now. Shit, even so called religious freedom wasn't really freedom back in the day. So yeah, there are some people in office who are trying to regress us, but they could *never* make us regress to the point we were at 50 years ago, when it was cool for blacks to be put in the back of buses and protesters were beat retarded for no reason other than being there.

and as for the gays astro i dont thinkits right for people to be gay i mean yeah its thier choice in deep down in my heart, No i dont think it is right. And yes i do look at gays differenly. I mean i guess it was how i was raised. But my mom has nothing against gays but she dont think it is right ethier. I mean its thier choice to be gay so they have to take the chances of being critized, hated on, and even beat up. I mean i wasnt raised around gays but i stilll dont think its right..

and if they are any gays on this forum im sorry but this is just how i feel about this situation..

Bubbles: Well that's what tolerance is dude, you don't have to accept it, you just have to allow it to exist. And the police literally just went and beat the shit out of people for being gay not entirely too long ago. Now they can't beat people unless they actually do something to deserve it... I call that progress.

im not against them i just dont like them.. i have a couple of friends that gay and i dont care...

sorry hempress..... but i cant help its how i am but the bible says its not right to be gay and it also says its not right to judge other people.. i dont judge i have to get to know them before i think of doing anything to them...i would never beat any one up for beng gay..they are people just like us.. they deserve to live here and od just what we do too..
