how long does the human race have left?

so what do you think?

if we keep living the way we are now, i think within the next 150 years we are going to have the largest war ever on this planet, for natural resources....but im not too sure when we will actually all be gone

I voted from 21-150 years from now. I strongly believe we'll see the end in our life-times though.

I voted for 1-20 years. I think the end is just starting up. With N. Korea starting up nuclear programs again, the war in Iraq and so on. I just think the end is near. And I seriously believe its going to down like that Tom Clancy book the sum of all Fears. For those of you who havent read it, a terrorist cell plants a nuke at a huge public event in a Major US city when it blows we automatically assume its the russians. I dont think we will assume it was the russians but I believe we will assume its someone and will declare war on said country. And if that country were to be in the War Powers act so starts the war to end all wars. Just my 2 cents though

Its going to be sooner than later.
We are going to be our own demise no doubt. Depletion of our natural resources, nuclear war, the very own human race will leave the world in shambles. thank goodness itll probably be right after I grow to be 100. so im going to say in 80 yrs itll be all downhill from there.

raises the sad question, why would I ever want to bring another life into this world?

i voted for, we willnever die.............i beleive a lot of us will, but we will go on in some way or other...........be it on another planet or below ground/water.........even if it's only 10,000 send to another planet, within the next 100 years you'll start to see production by terra forming Mars, once they tap the water running underneath the ground..............the only thing holding the human race back from doing this a lot quicker, is a renuable energy souce, more powerfull than Nuclear, more safe, and one that can regenerate itself in some way.................Peace out..........Sid

but the clock is ticking, and what we do now will determine how fast the clock goes...........

im not shure what my opnion is yet but i was reading an article in either the new york times or the globe and mail and some editorial guy was saying the politics of the world would be better and ewde all actually be safer if all countries had nuclear weapons! scary thought anyways though! i dont think the world will end in a war but i think we have done irreversable damage to our planet and it wont last forever, so i just guessed at how long our good ol earth can tough it out for us.

I voted we will never die. Maybe its my over confident faith in humanity but as bad as humans can make stuff we also can build things up just as well and that is why we progress ( in some ways more than others) I think if we ever got even close to a war that could end the world then action would be taken to prevent it.

The human race as a whole is like a cancer on this planet that's just sucking it dry... Yeah... We progress... But at the expense of every other living thing here on earth. Every system on the planet depends on delicate balances, and our race is disrupting these balances (some of them very drastically). I don't see us sticking around much longer at the rate we're going now.

I like that. We are pretty much like cancer.

in about 1100 years, an alien spaceship will detect the soul of a sacrificed man on a highly sophisticated radar, leaving his body and traveling off into space. The ship will follow the signature into a portal to the underworld, but gets stuck in the opening, leaving it open for souls to escape and begin to possess mankind all over the galaxy like a plague. The various factions and armies will do their best to fight off the threat, and in the end must resort to a doomsday device which obliterates the entire human race. The other space-faring races will sit and idly watch us struggle to delay our inevitable demise.
