Is there any philosophical significance to be taken from the Final Destination series

I just watched FD 4 in 3d and was pretty disappointed because every time I watch one of the movies I never seem to gain anything of value from it. I understand the premise of death being inevitable but is there anything else we can gain?

Never seen a Final Destination movie but from the previews I've seen everyone dies in the most impossible ways, I mean the girl who has her head out of a car and shes in a car wash? I mean she cant even drown to death it just seems impractical to me. I think Final Destination is all for entertainment.
