A possible end to the universe??

OK this makes me so mad cuz it confuses the hell outta me. Ok scientists have been saying that the universe expands and contracts you know gets bigger and smaller. But how can something that has no end possibly grow and shrink?? Doesnt it have to have an end somewhere?? But then I mean it cant be like your flyin and all of a sudden you smash into the wall. Cuz what would the wall be made of? and there would have to be something on the other side. But what if lets say well ill use an example lets say the Universe was 100 ft wide (just an example) maybe when you get to the end of the hundred feet you just end up back at one?? You know what i mean like youll just keep flying not in circles but like as soon as you get to the end your right back in the beggining? I dunno what do you guys think??

the space our univerce is in, is endless in its reach, and energy, wich is equal to mass, is prettymuch just bubbeling about in a endless motion, i guess.

theorists have now theorys that black holes that everyone thought was the end of all, is actually just a way of rereleasing the enery into new explotions giving birth to new galaxys. we have so short lives in comparason to such events, that its allmost hard to imagine. but only allmost. use some weed and u see how forever limitless can mean eternal.

Yup, and the universe expands into it at the speed of light. So the universe is finite but the space around infinite. Quite a mind boggler. I still haven't grasped infinity.

But, according to Douglas Adams, if you reach the end of the universe and were to try to break through, you'd experience a Gib Gnab, which is the opposite of a Big Bang

The universe goes on forever, but the matter inside of it only occupies to much space. The matter all started out in one spot and exploded out in all directions at close to the speed of light. So you take the age of the universe, which is either 10 or 20 billion years, and double it. The universe is about 20 or 40 billion light years accross.

Its not like theyve ever even seen the end of universe. it kinda reminds me of people who said the earth was flat they were like sure of it. And i thought the universe was everything all thes stars planets EVERYTHINGtheres something outside of the universe?

If you believe in the big bang theory (witch i don't) you must assume that after the explosion that the volicity of the expended matter travels at a constant. So then for the big bang theory to be plausable you must asume that the outer most pieces of the big bang are the smallest, while those closest to the center are the largest, so that the gravity of the matter closest to center will eventually atract the outer most matter back. This in essence is the cycle of the universe.

The way scientist try to prove the big bang theory is by showing how that stars in each galaxy are relative in size and that are descending/acsending in size in a circular motion from an origin.

The big bang theory has a lot of wholes, and i am sure future generations will laugh at our theories. Like how people thought the earth was flat, or in the center of the universe, or how the planets rotated in circular motion, etc.

The string theory seems more possible, but it still has some questions that need to be answer. In a string theory there are multipe universes, and black holes are gateways/portal holes to other universe. It also say that there seems to me know end to the universe, but when you think you are travling straight (at the enge of the universe) you are actually travelling around the wall, kind of hard to explain with no pics.
