besides mentioning the title of this thread is intended as a bit of a jape, i should also point out that this is one of those threads which makes the seperation of "science and nature" from "spirituality and philosophy" even more stupid. yep, stupid. i said stupid. a word i dont often use intentionally. science is a branch of philosophy (specifically, natural philosophy - see cosmology and such bellow.) and as such, to split it off like that.... gah, the illogicalness & wisdomlessness just bugs me. like it says bellow, there is no higher religion than truth. "seperation is the path to destruction" - some shaman wise dude.

It gives a simple and concise overview of the most important and useful ideas I have to offer about these topics. well i thought that was pretty spot on. i hope the bit about aliens didnt put you off too much. me personally, i can neither confirm nor deny that which i have not witnessed. not having witnessed the presence of greys & reptillians and the deeds they are accused of, does not mean they do not exist and are not doing what they are accused of doing. but i dont let that make me reject everything else mentioned. still... all that stuff about 'em, at least it's an explanation. as far as explanations go, it's a more plausible and complete one than "our governments are just incompetent" or "our governments are just corrupt", neither statement explaining anything. though you gotta admit... democracy based not on voting on issues, but on a popularity contest was sure to get us in trouble, especially when you consider where we were coming from, ...fuedalism, monarchies, despotism and tyrants. yeah, maybe we'll decide who gets to be in power by choosing who can best convince us to vote for them.... yeah, cos it's not like that kind of power give away will ever be enticing to greedy power hungry factions.  yeah, we really could do with remodelling the fake democracy we've had presented to us all this time. y'know, like actually give real people power a chance, see what the world turns out like when we are all making the decisions. i mean.... would we really all agree and decide to pump thousands of tonnes of pollutants into our atmosphere, convert rainwater into carcinogenic catalysts, or ever use military weapons on each other ever again? not if it was our choice. looks like we still got some seperationist tyrants to clean outta our house. neat, the alien and nwo thing makes me skeptical.
heres another neat list i found the nine satanic sins: 1) Stupidity--The top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. It's too bad that stupidity isn't painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid. 2) Pretentiousness--Empty posturing can be most irritating and isn't applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone's made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not. 3) Solipsism--can be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses, and sensibilities onto someone else who is probably far less attuned that you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy, and respect that you naturally give them. They won't. Instead Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of "Do unto others as they do onto you." It's work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian viewpoint) we are from that point. 4) Self-Deceit--It's in the Nine Satanic Statement but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered is when it is fun, and with awareness. But then, it's not self-deceit! 5) Herd Conformity--That's obvious from a Satanic stance. It's all right to conform to a person's wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of many. 6) Lack of Perspective--Again, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, everyday. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit the things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. So not be swayed herd constraints--know that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world. 7) Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxy's--Be aware that this one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something as "new" and "different", when in reality it's something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the "creator" and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society. Counterproductive Pride--The first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bath water. The rule of Satanism is if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you've painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, "I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow," then do it 9) Lack of Aesthetics--This is the physical application of the Balance Factor. It is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off it most of the tome so it is discouraged in a consumer society, but is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for magical effectiveness. It's not what's supposed to be pleasing--it's what is. Aesthetics is a highly personal thing, reflective of one's own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied. the eleven satanic rules of the earth: I Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. II Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure that they want to hear them. III When in another's lair, show him respect or else do not go there. IV If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy. V Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal. VI Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the person and he cries out to be relieved. VII Acknowledge the power of magic if you have used it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained. VIII Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself. IX Do not harm little children. X Do not kill non-human animals unless attacked or for your food. XI When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him. the nine satanic statements: I Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence! II Satan represents vital existence, instead of spiritual pipe dreams! that's a pretty intriguing list right there. heh, yeah, me n some friends went through that [previous post's c&p] in depth on another (private) forum which has since been shut down and lost. turned out i was aprx 60% in agreement with the tenets of satanism. although that was the lowest score among the "faiths" we attempted to do a scoring and comparison on, it still shows there's more comon ground than differences. still.... its fucking bizarre tho. especially when you've done alot of history study into the origins and transitions of the bible and christianity and hebrew religions. like for just one example... wasnt "sin" originally just meant as generally fucking up and causing shit stains in your karma, doing stuff that was in error and likely to set forth a cause and effect chain likely to come round again and hit you. then there's the whole meanings associated with "satan"... i've heard it claimed that its fuck all to do with the devil of familiar christian theology/dogma and linguistically you can follow it to meaning self. .... who knows.... sounds like a cosmic PR misinformation war. one thing i'm not sure we ever figured out..... what is the mating signal?? hahaha, probably explains why i am still a virgin. no one ever explained the mating signal to me. lol  WTF IS THE MATING SIGNAL? The satanists are a pretty earthy lot. Christians tend to focus away from earth as a spiritual source.
Pagans, satanists, animists are all more earth oriented, and I tend to like them over the christian earth dwellers.

(d2x fans know what i'm sayin.  aight!);p i was thinking about maybe making a thread entitled "It's Time To Evolve Our Ideas Folks", a thread for taking existing ideas, presenting it and then improve / evolve it, preferably in the same breath. there's a few of the bits in satanism that could do with a tweak. its an interesting mesh, some parts seem more attuned to what kind of world our actions build for us, and yet others, in dire need of evolving. reaping, sowing, making, beds. y'ken? turn the other cheak or thwart 'em? it's gotta be situational, right? no absolutist moral code in my reality tunnel. how about yours? surely we all mix it up, dependant many factors, not least of which, our toxicity/purity (chemical/emotional/etheric/etc), our relationship to subject and situation... u could be in for thwarting or a gentler yet more powerful lesson. i mean, if u get twatted, it sends the message some animal got angered and twatted you to, in its own blunt force way, shape the world around it better to it's suiting. if another cheak is offered, it sends the message that there is a consciousness there, inteligent and considered, deliberate and meaningful, living the change it would like to see, allowing you to make the change yourself. if you go around twatting folks that offend you, then you're not likely to be living the world you'd like to see, because presumably, you dont want to get twatted for offending something else possibly through no fault of your own. ... or maybe you would. and maybe you also like to interpret those who turn the other cheak as masochists also.  yeah... maybe i'll make a thread called that..... or maybe i'll just lounge around in sacred idleness salvation.

i believe in having a balance between good and evil, and acting accordingly to situations, but better to give off positive vibes and not set yourself up for bad situations. although i do believe satan is our creator im not a satanist.
