Humans ever going to mars???

what up.....i was high as shit flipping though channels with nothing on and started to whatch some shit on mars, started making me think about shit.

President bush and nasa said back to moon by 2020 and to mars (man) by 2030, but then they don't make wise decisions with the budget and propose new pointless missions that would make manned missions even further off. nasa is to cautious now a days. The computers that were on board the apollo moon lander were no better than what runs an average cheap-o calculator you can buy at walmart for $5 so think of how far technology is now, compared to that... and not just computer technology. so even if they did a manned mission to mars in 10 or even 5 years from today it would still not be as dangerous as when they sent people to moon on apollo missions.

no astronaut goes into space without knowing theres a chance they might not survive. It seems like nasa's waiting untill its as safe as a stroll in the park... (which is impossible)... that would be like christopher colombus saying i'm not gonna sail across the atlantic and find america until fiberglass boats and gps systems are invented... but actually how it went down is, as soon as they cobbled some wood together that floated and had a very basic compass and map, they were down to ride... if nasa had that same attitude today they could do a mars manned mission by 2020 and skip the moon all together. If they didn't keep wasting money on rovers and planning mars sample return missions, and used there money smarter then it could be done, even with the current nasa budget.

Damn this is turning out way longer than i intended....gotta recharge my high

also things that don't make sense like they are woried about zero G, and affecting the human body, they waste money on inventing all different types of zero-g exercise equipment, why not just work on creating artificial gravity, then any old exercise machine will work. i mean how hard can it be to figure out how to make something spin in a circle? especially with no atmoshphere or gravity?

here is one last thought... seems like the most common concern on manned trip to mars is radiation, they are talking about heavy bulky shelters, which you would have to get into when any intense radioactive conditions occur. why not make a magnetic field generator....that blocks radiation the same way the earth does? don't know if any nasa or other scientists have considered that option or if it is currently technologically possible, but it seems like it would be, considering how much smaller a mars ship would be than earth is. they could use extremely fast rotating super conducting magnets. and then it would protect the whole ship all of the time, no need to run off and be away from what your doing in case of radioactive encounter.

fuck mars, we need to get on the moon, get in-situ resource collectors going, and get some solar power sats up around earth

the quicker we do that the more indepent of energy costs we can become

i think it depends, there could be a worldwide cataclysm tomorrow. that would hinder humanity getting to mars fo sho.

there just needs to be some real world leaders, particularly in america. if people set their sights on mars then it will happen. if corporate interests continue to control peoples sights then we wont get to mars untill we have to fo sho.

i dont really think its that necessary to all get to mars, but it would be good to have it ready incase anything happened. but...i mean if the govt was on the peoples side anyway.

If you want the scoop on Mars, look up Richard C. Hogland and his book "Dark Missions". This guy is the real deal. Research, study, experience and let the cloud of illusion and conditioning fade away.

He and many others also explain the hexagonal cloud on Saturn which defies all conventional mainstream physics.

fuck nasa.

ill say it again.

FUCK NASA.

we dont even know the potential of our own earth yet.

there's enough minerals in the ocean to definitely find cures for something,

heres a fun fact, theres enough gold mineral in the oceans for everyone on earth to have a pound of it.

imagine if we had this, but with useful minerals.

and dont get me started on the rainforest...

lets take that money for rockets and ACTUALLY FUCKING USE IT FOR SOMETHING.

AHHH I HATE OUR GOVERNMENT AHH.

ok, im good.

still, lets spend money on shit that matters.

There's alot more problems with going to mars than there were when we sent people to the moon. For one thing we don't currently have a delivery vehicle capable of getting us into high earth orbit, let alone escaping the earth's gravitational pull all together. We will have the Orion in a couple of years, but it's still in the early stages of development. That's the least of our problems when it comes to sending people to mars. The trip itself is something like 4 months long the entire time of which the astronauts will be in micro gravity, which causes extreme muscular dystrophy. Even if we get there, the crew probably won't be able to move. Then we have the problem of where to live once we get there. Unlike the moon, the distance between it and the earth varies dramatically, so you have to stick around until your close enough to come back. All this time you have to be eating food that you brought with you, and drinking water that you brought with you. After all this you have to escape mars' gravitational pull as well, which means about 30% more fuel that you have to bring with you.

Going to mars is way harder than any kind of manned exploration we have ever attempted. You can't just wing it, the crew will die. It took thousands of years of boat and ship building before explorers traversed the Atlantic, we've had people in space for about 60 years. The fact that we're already thinking about going to MARS is nuts.

I think that mars is going to be more in peoples heads some years ahead. And with the power of humanity thoughts soon we will be able to create some colony (and life) there.

I agreed with you 100%, and then I laughed my ass off 100%. Super-potent space weed. Ahhh, I love it.
