I'm not gonna name anything specific, but the threads trying to disprove or prove Christianity are really getting old. Don't people realize that this isn't an argument either side can really win? It always goes the same way: Someone makes a weak argument, someone else makes an equally weak counter-argument, a few good points are made by a handful of intelligent posters but they're basically ignored, and 30 pages later nothing is settled. People have been trying to disprove religion for thousands of years now... it's nothing new. Doesn't it seem like this place would be more productive if we accepted each other's differences and decided to learn from them instead of constantly pushing our own individual perspectives as the truth?

i agree with what youre saying, kind of.

it is frustrating when someone will bring up an argument, and then all responses are labeled as stupid or ignorant without actually addressing the substance of the post.

i also agree that we should all live in harmony, but i do think that it's important to be vocal about your beliefs AS LONG AS THERE IS REASONING PRESENT IN THE ARGUMENT. too many people say, "look at what this one guy said so you must be stupid" instead of coming to their own conclusions. but when everyone is quiet about what they believe instead of discussing it in an intelligent, calm, and courteous way- EVERYBODY ends up living in ignorance.

just because someone explains their views doesn't mean you have to believe them, but you should probably listen to what they're saying.
