| Oneironaut | Re: H. Incredible song to listen to tripping. Tv on the Radio - Province Suddenly, all your history's ablaze Try to breath as the world desintegrates Just like autumn leaves we're in for change Holding tenderly to what remains And all your memories are as precious as gold And all the honey and the fire which you stole Have you running through all your red cheek days Shaking loose these songs from their sacred hiding space Hold your heart courageously as we walk into this dark place Stand, stare fast, erect and see that love is the province of the brave Push under this expanse of buzzing stars Let this burning brightly illumintate where we are Fill this hallow that lovers voices occupy Let it follow That we let it free, let it fly Breaking open the walls of this cage Intoxicated, oh so amazed Much like falcons tumbling from our hearts that blaze Conjoined, talons engaged Hold these hearts courageously as we walk into this dark place Stand, stare fast beside me and see that love is the province of the brave http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqI0FYN-r5c |

| Re: The Inspiring Lyrics That Mean Something to You Philosophically or Spiritually Th s Shadows even the silver spoon The handmade blade, the child's balloon Eclipses both the sun and moon To understand you know too soon There is no sense in trying. Pointed threats, they bluff with scorn Suicide remarks are torn From the fools gold mouthpiece The hollow horn plays wasted words Proved to warn That he not busy being born Is busy dying. Temptation's page flies out the door You follow, find yourself at war Watch waterfalls of pity roar You feel to moan but unlike before You discover That you'd just be One more person crying. So don't fear if you hear A foreign sound to you ear It's alright, Ma, I'm only sighing. As some warn victory, some downfall Private reasons great or small Can be seen in the eyes of those that call To make all that should be killed to crawl While others say don't hate nothing at all Except hatred. Disillusioned words like bullets bark As human gods aim for their marks Made everything from toy guns that sparks To flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark It's easy to see without looking too far That not much Is really sacred. While preachers preach of evil fates Teachers teach that knowledge waits Can lead to hundred-dollar plates Goodness hides behind its gates But even the President of the United States Sometimes must have To stand naked. An' though the rules of the road have been lodged It's only people's games that you got to dodge And it's alright, Ma, I can make it. Advertising signs that con you Into thinking you're the one That can do what's never been done That can win what's never been won Meantime life outside goes on All around you. You loose yourself, you reappear You suddenly find you got nothing to fear Alone you stand without nobody near When a trembling distant voice, unclear Startles your sleeping ears to hear That somebody thinks They really found you. A question in your nerves is lit Yet you know there is no answer fit to satisfy Insure you not to quit To keep it in your mind and not forget That it is not he or she or them or it That you belong to. Although the masters make the rules For the wise men and the fools I got nothing, Ma, to live up to. For them that must obey authority That they do not respect in any degree Who despite their jobs, their destinies Speak jealously of them that are free Cultivate their flowers to be Nothing more than something They invest in. While some on principles baptized To strict party platforms ties Social clubs in drag disguise Outsiders they can freely criticize Tell nothing except who to idolize And then say God Bless him. While one who sings with his tongue on fire Gargles in the rat race choir Bent out of shape from society's pliers Cares not to come up any higher But rather get you down in the hole That he's in. But I mean no harm nor put fault On anyone that lives in a vault But it's alright, Ma, if I can't please him. Old lady judges, watch people in pairs Limited in sex, they dare To push fake morals, insult and stare While money doesn't talk, it swears Obscenity, who really cares Propaganda, all is phony. While them that defend what they cannot see With a killer's pride, security It blows the minds most bitterly For them that think death's honesty Won't fall upon them naturally Life sometimes Must get lonely. My eyes collide head-on with stuffed graveyards False gods, I scuff At pettiness which plays so rough Walk upside-down inside handcuffs Kick my legs to crash it off Say okay, I have had enough What else can you show me ? And if my thought-dreams could been seen They'd probably put my head in a guillotine But it's alright, Ma, it's life, and life only.

Ive always found it insperational but others my not Nine Inch Nails - "Right Where It Belongs" See the animal in his cage that you built Are you sure what side you're on? Better not look him too closely in the eye Are you sure what side of the glass you are on? See the safety of the life you have built Everything where it belongs Feel the hollowness inside of your heart And it's all Right where it belongs [Chorus:] What if everything around you Isn't quite as it seems? What if all the world you think you know Is an elaborate dream? And if you look at your reflection Is it all you want it to be? What if you could look right through the cracks? Would you find yourself Find yourself afraid to see? What if all the world's inside of your head Just creations of your own? Your devils and your gods All the living and the dead And you're really all alone? You can live in this illusion You can choose to believe You keep looking but you can't find the woods While you're hiding in the trees [Chorus:] What if everything around you Isn't quite as it seems? What if all the world you used to know Is an elaborate dream? And if you look at your reflection Is it all you want it to be? What if you could look right through the cracks Would you find yourself Find yourself afraid to see? |

| Incubus - Wish You Were Here
I dig my toes into the sand The ocean looks like a thousand diamonds strewn across a blue blanket I lean against the wind, pretend that I am weightless And in this moment I am happy Happy I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were, here I lay my head onto the sand The sky resembles a back-lit canopy with holes punched in it I'm counting UFO's, I signal them with my lighter And in this moment I am happy Happy I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were, here Wish you were here The world's a rollercoaster And I am not strapped in Maybe I should hold with care But my hands are busy in the air, saying I wish you were here I wish you were I wish you were here I wish you were here I wish you were, here Wish you were here |

kris kristofferson song written after janis joplin died... "Epitaph" Her close friends have gathered. Lord, ain’t it a shame Grieving together Sharing the blame. But when she was dying Lord, we let her down. There’s no use cryin’ It can’t help her now. The party’s all over Drink up and go home. It’s too late to love her And leave her alone. Just say she was someone Lord, so far from home Whose life was so lonesome She died all alone Who dreamed pretty dreams That never came true Lord, why was she born So black and blue? Oh, why was she born So black and blue?

Sigur Rós's () album. There are no "lyrics" per say. All of the tracks are untitled. All of the vocals used are gibberish with a few Icelandic syllables mixed in. In the CD booklet, after the cover, the pages are completely empty and meant for you to write in it how you perceive or interpret their songs. Beautiful album. One of my absolute favorites.

| Re: The Inspiring Lyrics That Mean Something to You Philosophically or Spiritually Th http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unb3m_6ceZQ This was a stormy ending Water sank our boats Shouldn't we, oh, shouldn't we Throw our hopes into the ocean The ocean The warm grey sea Tell me or kick me or hold me or please believe This is their busted future And this is our dream Which one do you believe in, believe in, believe in, believe in Together, together, together, together Never to retreat Mystery and wonder Messy hearts made of thunder Somewhere there's a soldier Sleeping in a field Somewhere there's a mother, a mother, a mother A mother, a mother, a mother Please believe in gentle dreams The sweetness of people Whistling in their sleep The angels in your palm Sing gentle worried songs The sweetness of our dreams Like mountains made of steam The angels in your palm Sing gentle worried songs And the sweetness of our dreams Like mountains made of steam The angels in your palm Sing gentle worried songs The sweetness of our dreams Like mountains made of steam |

Saw a few good songs already posted. Incubus S.C.I.E.N.C.E. redefine Imagine your brain as a canister filled with ink yeah Now think of your body as the pen where the ink resides Fuse the two; KAPOW! What are you know? You're the humane magic marker Won't you please surprise my eyes?! It's in your nature, you can paint whatever picture you like No matter what Ted Koppel says on channel 4 tonight So modify this third rock from the sun By painting myriads of pictures with the colors of one I'm sick of painting in black and white My pen is dry now I'm uptight So sick of limiting myself to fit your definition Picture the scene, where whatever you thought, would, in the blink of an eye, manifest and become illustrated You'd be sure man that every line drawn reflected a life That you loved not an existence that you hated So, must we demonstrate that we can't get it straight? We've painted a picture, now we're drowning in paint Let's figure out what the fuck it's about before the picture we painted Chews us up and spits us out I'm sick of painting in black and white My pen is dry, now I'm uptight So sick of limiting myself to fit your definition |
