Eastern Philosophy - Looking for a New Outlook

So, recently ive had a strange interest in Eastern Philosophy and have been reading here a lot. Recently ive felt in-content with my current spiritual existence and outlook on life. I have only briefly looked into the subject due to the fact that i really don't know where to start.

I sit here looking for quotes, text, or subjects to research, and to submerse myself in. I look to emerge with some new ideals to hold tight and and with a new mental equilibrium established.

Thanks to all who contribute, I appreciate it.

For example mammaliformes ("almost mammals") and then mammals existed throughout the reign of the dinosaurs, but could not compete for the large terrestrial vertebrate niches which dinosaurs monopolized. The end-Cretaceous mass extinction removed the non-avian dinosaurs and made it possible for mammals to expand into the large terrestrial vertebrate niches.

Read Seng-Chao's Treatise: Part One. It's a recent thread on here, and it's Eastern indeed.

well there are countless things you can read if you are intrested ineastern philosophy.
you an read from kaballah to reiki.from tao to confucius. about yoga the secret sounds of chacras about mantras.about solomon , feng shui, about sufis( i can keep writing till tomorrow) or you can just read about eastern religions. i started reaing eastern philosophies when i was 13 after reading an article about Osso.

i'll give you some links i have in my favorites
to help you decide what to read

http://reluctant-messenger.com/eastern-wisdom.htm

http://radicalacademy.com/adiphileasternindex.htm

http://www.shambhala.com/index.cfm

http://www.erraticimpact.com/~ancient/site_index.htm

http://abstractatom.com/links.htm

http://www.utm.edu/staff/jfieser/cla...ey-eastern.htm

http://reluctant-messenger.com/tibet...f-the-dead.htm

and a list of eastern (or asian) philosophical movements
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_philosophy

a list of eastern philosophers
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timelin...n_philosophers

now if you want communism philosophers cause i read someone used sth stalin said, tell me and i will link again.(alhough i dont really like stalin. if you want sth like that read lenin or marx)

the last books i read about eastern philosophy and really liked were
greek kabalah:the symbolism and arithmology in ancient years by kieren barry

travelling:japan by N.kazantzakis. it is a book about his trips in japan and he also comments on japanese culture religion and lifestyle.

teachers of wisdom by jonh g. bennet

the return of the great Godess by marija gimbutas

these are not asian philosophers but the books are about eastern philosophy. if you have no clue about eastern philosophy its better to start reading the philosophers first and then general books.
Hope i helped. enjoy your reading.xxx
