My take on it is that if you must practise a religion, why not?
They (pagans) revere nature, celebrate the cycles of life death and rebirth, the cycles of the moon and sun, change in seasons, and consider sex the most sacred of human acts, as you become the god and goddess fucking. . .
What's not to like, but perhaps all the gods and goddesses worship. I found it kinda tedious.
The animists have a slightly different take on it, merely by believing all things in nature have a spirit. Thus respect for all nature is the thing, living in harmony with nature, rather than trying to change it to fit the artificial/superficial needs of the people, is the thing.

yeah, having an entire day devoted to eating, drinking and fucking...then another one the day after of relaxation and reflection aint too shabby tho!!

i really cant wait to show my child the ways of the goddess

tho i wont freak out if they choose to go another way further down the road, its their choice not mine, all that matters in the end is morals and an open mind

holyrollers : Did you first experiment with drugs when you were under 18? If yes, you were molested by drugs. Therefore, the drug was a pedophile.

sky dog : There is very little THC in your average Mexican

Bandelero : If I could pick how I'd go out, I'd probably pick on top of a huge pile of weed as well. No worries.

My friend gave a good summary on paganism when he said that "it's religion with results". Certainly not perfect by any means, but it's better to deify the things that actually do give us life (sun, fauna, flora, stars, earth, rain, vagina, phallus), as opposed to things that are only tangible to people with missing chromosomes and paranoid schizophrenia, ala Judeochristianity & Islam

Practicing religion and knowing the Creator are two different things. That's why there's a difference between worshiping the Creator and worshiping that which He created. When we worship nature or consider ourselves to be God/gods, we deny acknowledging the existence of the One True God and we deny Him the glory He is worthy of to worship.

It's a huge spiritual mistake.

that may be your opinion...but for me..it has ALWAYS worked

im not saying ur rite, im not saying ur wrong...but im also not going to stuff something that you dont believe in down your throat and into your mind because i feel its wrong...if im wrong ill find out when i die
that being said..there have also been no wars within paganism...no crusades or anything like that..to me...christianity *the very opposite of the basics of paganism and yet has soo many STOLEN aspects in it* is a very violent and oppressing religion...

yeah..i definitely prefer my own to that

I was starting down a Pagan path for a while. It is a religion of results, but I find my own theology more comfortable. My idea of what God is has changed over the years, and although I learned so much from Paganism, I had to set it aside to work on my own spirituality.

Practicing religion and knowing the universe are two different things. That's why there's a difference between worshiping G/god(s) and understanding that which exists. When we worship one single God or consider ourselves to belong to one religion, we deny acknowledging the existence of natural nature and we deny the universe the encouraging awe it inspires.

Your worship rhetoric is sad. It's a huge spiritual mistake.
