scooby you in fact are NOT at all a nice guy. mr.blonde you make a very good point although i dont agree that religion and science are so different. they say the truth is always simple. why is it that ancient beliefs have only recently been confirmed by modern quantum physics? maybe the christians gave all religions a bad name but come on man...thats closing your mind, just the other way. somebody told me to look at all sides of the coin, not only the two, but to flip it again and look at the 3rd.(he knows who he is)

I always thought that missionaries were missionaries because they couldn't cut it in the real world.

I mean honestly, what kind of job is traveling around the world spreading the word of god? Your wife must really love you, or be completely frigid to support that kind of nonsense.

If you look at it in context, that scooby is a disillusioned ex-missionary that started to think rather than believe blindly, you might understand his antagonism to the inherent hypocricy and self-indulgence that doing missionary work entails.

He's been there, he knows what it is about. The deceitfull methods applied. The skin-deep care they offer. The pure arrogance such an activity stems from.

He is entitled to his resentment, and more importantly, to express it.

Calling him a bad person, when he do volunteer work for the less fortunate, is a bit rich. Especially seeing as he now do that from empathy and a social consciousness, rather than with the agenda of brainwashing people to some blind faith.

Well, I am glad Scooby got away from those evil missionaries. Their methods are insidious, nasty. They preach what they preach to cover their own brand of evil. They can't even see true evil.
It does piss ya off when you discover how you've been deceived.
I tolerate a lot of crap in this world. I tolerate so-called christians, but not by much i tell you. Mostly all I see in them are delusional fanatics. So, I nod my head, and say, "uh-huh.." and I get the hell away from them as soon as I can.
My own family are thusly delusional. I quit any semblence of intelligent convo with them about it years ago, as they just don't get it.
I tell people I am an Existentialist, and they never seem to know what that is. It amazes me how many people have no clue what that is. Look it up, I say. . .learn something, once in a while.

In my mind morphx has contracted a virus, but not a biologial virus, a virtual virus, that took over his mind.
